My first time here with my husband. My husband comes here often and he loves it. I love the food. It was so good for a great and reasonable price. What I noticed the most was how clean the place was and how the cooks were clean also and cooked with cleanliness. I definitely will be back

We’ve liked this restaurant in the past. It was good food at a good price. They’ve raised their prices by a lot – little stickers over all the prices all over the menus. My grilled cheese had barely a slice of cheese in it and the loose hot dogs had half the meat you usually get with them. To add fries and a pop was more, but no refills on the pop. There were no other people there, but it took a long time to get our order taken. I might have gotten a special, but the prices were too high. We won’t be coming back.

I give it 2 stars because the pace was not clean and not sanitary. They was the salad station by the register and it was dirt extremely dirty cooked bacon left wide open looked nasty. The food was good but very very cheap on the fries that come with the combo and no refills on the drinks I thought that was pretty weird because every where else you go you get free refills. The waitress was super nice and very friendly thank you for the great service .

Was hungry, and was passing by, decided to try their dinner menu. This business has been around since the ’60s from my recollection. I’m sure it’s been under a different owners since that time.
Back to the review, Since it is fairly recently that they started serving dinner the place was not very crowded.
I ordered the stuffed cabbage even though I was uncertain if it would be any good. It came with super salad. I chose chicken tortilla soup and it was outstanding. Very much recommended.
It took a while for my stuffed cabbage to arrive, I am a very impatient person. The waitress assured me that the wait would be worth it, she was correct.
The stuffed cabbage plate came with a choice of corn or green beans I chose the corn, in mashed potatoes.
That was some of the best stuffed cabbage that I have ever eaten, and I have eaten some very good stuffed cabbage.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping for their dinner, well worth it.

Why has it taken me so long to pop in?!? This place is a GEM. It’s absolutely fantastic. Our waitress was so sweet. Our dinner was truly delicious. I had the best footlong hot dog, EVER. The fries were perfectly crispy. Seriously – the best hot dog spot around. I can’t wait to make this a regular spot. Seriously so so good!!

Same Detroit coney from my youth! Wish they had shoestring fries, but the spice on their waffle & reg cut was good. Xtra chili for dipping was fun. Still can’t beat the prices.

Happened to be working at a job site within walking distance of Franks-A-Lot so I stopped in for lunch. It was so good that I came back again the next day. I had the Detroit Coney Dogs and an order of fries.
Waitstaff was very friendly and the cook was making orders quickly. I will be back in the future and recommend you do the same

The prices are amazing! 5 of us, all adults, had dinner for less than $45. Our waitress was great too, our glasses were never empty. The food was really good, lots of the typical American diner options with some other options you might not expect. Try the chili or the chicken sandwich!

Hearty food, decent amount for the price. From the outside, seems a bit run down, maybe a little skeezy. Once inside, though a bit close packed, the tables are clean, the booths comfortable, and the waitresses friendly. It was sit-where-you-like, with competent if not stellar short order cooks. You pay at the register when you’re done, and the waitress kept us full on coffee and pop well after we finished our actual food.
Minor mistakes on the orders, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed very easily, and they did do without any fuss.
Nicely decorated space, too.
Definitely going back next time I’m in that area and in the mood for easy decisions and comfort food.
