Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

If i could give this place 0 stars all the way down and still write a review that’s exactly what i would do. it was late the other night and my wife and myself were hungry she said she had never had whataburger before and i myself had it a few times and never had issues food was always good. well on this night particular that was not the case not even in the slightest bit. to begin with we pulled up and the woman taking our order was rude as hell. and basically kept rushing us while trying to order. then we get home with our order after a horrible experience there and literally we both ordered a salad we couldn’t eat ! every single bit of the lettuce in both our salads were completely rotten. it was all mushy/soggy. not eatable what so ever. if you’re going to have poor customer service atleast have food that people can come home and eat that they just purchased. which ever employee that night bagged mine and wife’s food knows damn well they seen what that lettuce looked like because even though it had chicken and other toppings on it i could still see it when i pulled it out the bag without even removing the lid. and for you as an employee to just be okay serving a customer not one but two salads that look that way shows the type of person you are and even as a fast food chain they shouldn’t keep you as an employee either. cus you know damn well you wouldn’t eat it like that or that your momma would never hand you a plate that looks like that.

so needless to say this experience was absolutely completely a waste of my time energy and money. and never again will i be seen here. as a manager i can NOT believe these people are even still employed
better feel real lucky cus you wouldn’t be with me.

now everyone can look at our salads and you all tell me, would you eat it ?!

First time here, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience.

The store itself was sleek and clean, and the manager was fantastic—very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. Every part of our order came out wrong, and the wait was unusually long. They were running a 75th anniversary special with 75-cent burgers, but it was obvious they hadn’t planned for the rush.

As for the food, it was disappointing. The burger lacked flavor, and the bun was burnt—overall, well below average.

Thought this progressive biz, sell you mostly processed thin easy to produce, likely never to hit grill! Brought back waste, and the manager was useless, and with dismissal attitude! Thought once well of company! Food and Service now major turn off! Losing App, and never going back!

Burger and chicken sandwich was hot and delicious. Food was tasty. Yes- servers were slow and still a bit confused but our food was worth it.
Restaurant was clean and relaxing atmosphere. Dining seating is nice counters or tables available. Family friendly – high chairs and changing table in restrooms.
Restrooms were clean and soap was plenty. Plenty of parking. Easy in and out access.
Just need to get the servers organized.

Idk why, but employees at Whataburger just always seem to be in a good mood. The food is so good. Almost comparable to what I would make at home. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the amount of food you get beats most burger places for what you pay. The restaurant is always very clean. It’s just all around an enjoyable experience.

So I just had a pretty embarrassing incident…

I came here for lunch around 11a and was by myself. I got the #5 and it came out great. I Dined in, so the cashier gave me a # as usual. And then asked for my name. I normally don’t like to give out my first because most people butcher it. So I gave her my last name. I’ve never had this reaction to my last name (Bones) before it was really just weird and made me uncomfortable albeit I can see how at a low maturity level you can make things up.

Another employees stepped 2 feet from the front desk and yelled my name. It’s a decently sized place but still it was quiet while everyone ate. He basically made me get up and walked to him. So I did. Handed him my number and he just stared at me. So I grabbed a spicy ketchup. Took my food from his hands and he walked back to my seat. I would’ve been fine then but I heard him go back to the kitchen and reiterate what just happened to the other employees. For some reason they all had a good loud laugh. I could hear him speak about the incident/my name a few more times while other guests came in, sat and received their food from him. He walked up to the other orders and confirmed their name but at a normal tone this time. The whole visit was so weird and awkward. I was definitely not feeling welcomed.

I’d like to start by saying that I work in a restaurant myself and always give the benefit of a doubt whenever a place is slow. Maybe new employees, appliances not working, busy rush, etc. But for pretty much *months* now on end, getting food in the drive thru, or even just generally, is practically a marathon. Everytime I come here, it’s usually at night, with at most 3 or 4 other cars in line and nobody inside, and yet it never fails to end up a 35 minute trip. As said, I always try to be lenient, but it’s getting to a point where it’s just ridiculous. One of the few times I came during lunch instead of night, there were some around 7-9 people in the lobby all waiting on food, with maybe only a car or two in the drive thru. My last straw was ordering nothing but a small chocolate shake at night. I started ordering on my app long in advance since i already knew what I was getting into, but never fails to still have to end up waiting 30+ minutes. 3 cars ahead, ordered at 10:23. Finally get to the window and get told to pull up to the curb as 4 other cars get served before my friend decides to just go inside instead of waiting another god knows how long. They say the milkshake machine isn’t working and offered fries to compensate. No clue why I couldn’t have been told long before or *at the window*. Finally leave at 11:09, a full 46 minutes from ordering a small chocolate shake with nothing else, to leave with small fries and time wasted. I haven’t a clue on what’s going on inside that restaurant, but something seriously needs to change.

As per any customer service interaction anywhere, mistakes happen. However, the team here responded very well. We were only missing apple pies, so we came back to get them another day. The manager Jeff remembered us and offered to pay for another item as well. The team is very knowledgeable about their policies, and it’s refreshing to see❤️❤️

One of the nicer Wataburgers. Restaurant and restrooms were pretty clean with good service and friendly, attentive employees.

Food is good but not great. Not good enough to justify the price. For example, I tried the new jalapeño double burger…pic attached. That was $10.00! Sorry guys not that great and certainly not assembled like the advertisement. Fries very good (crispy hot well seasoned…thin cut like McDonalds) and love their spicy ketchup.
