Went to Carvel Wed night. Been there many times and the ice cream is outstanding. Last night 27Aug2025 was a new experience as there was a long line and the 3 young girls working there did not seem to grasp that fact. Great ice cream but if you see a line be prepared to invest some time.

How could anyone not like Carvel? This place needs to be bigger but the ice cream and staff are phenomenal! They make the best ice cream cakes, it just stinks they charge now for extra crunchies. My family lives to have a Carvel birthday cake. Highly recommend!

Carvel of Hazlet went above and beyond with very short notice (less then 2 hours) to create a beautifully decorated birthday cake for my son. I sent a simple photo of what I hoped for and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend them for your next celebration.

It’s officially summer! My husband and I live in California, where there are no Carvels. We cannot visit NJ without stopping for soft serve, but this is the one area where we have strong disagreements and won’t split one – sprinkles or bonnet? I am #TeamSprinkles. This Carvel location has very nice employees who always greet us with a friendly smile.

So I went into this Carvel’s to buy a cake . I picked one out that I liked and the price was decent for an ice cream cake . Well when I got to the register the person behind the counter says that’s not the price ?? What .. well I was totally confused why have an item priced at a store then tell the customer “that’s not the price “ then not try to make the customer happy … that’s totally unprofessional and unacceptable . Then when she told me the real price it was double of what was labeled like huh wow!!!! That’s Horrible for business let me just say I will definitely stay away from this place and let others know to do so as well . What happened to making customers happy though ? Guess that doesn’t exist in most establishments these days . I will stick to the places with the awesome service and great products. The items at Carvel aren’t even up to par to what they used to be anymore like back in the day . My advice is go to another store like Walmart or Costco the cakes are cheaper , very good ,and the service is a little better than what I got.

Great service. We came in today and ordered 2 vanilla twists. It was a perfect treat for the kids (the kids size is perfect) They had a variety of different ice cream cakes (Easter Bunny, Sports, and more). Will come back if I am in the area.
