Really chill delicious place to eat out.
With Five Guys next door charging $12.50 for just a burger, and this lovely gem charging $16 for a full meal (fries, sauce, and a drink, or $10 for just the burger) it’s a no brainer to go support a local business instead of a chain. The chai frappe and both our burgers were delicious, everyone working there was super nice. They came to check on us a few times while we were there, and were really sweet both times.
The menu glitched out so I don’t remember what our burgers were called but both were well cooked and seasoned, and delicious. The fries were well seasoned, but were a bit hard which is not our personal preference. I still enjoyed them with the house Urban sauce though.
The Somali food also looked very good, so I’m excited to come back and try some goat and their sambusas.

The food was good but overpriced in my opinion. When you have a 5 guys next door that sells fresh never frozen beef and french fries. This restaurant is selling items cooked from frozen, but priced the same as 5 guys. For 2 burger combos it was almost $40. The staff were nice and friendly and the restaurant was clean.

This place came recommended from a foodie friend of mine, I’m glad wechecked this place out, the food was great!! We ordered chicken wings(extra crispy) and believe me this is fried chicken, that taste like home fried, so delicious . The curly fries were ok, the sambusa was amazing too. This will be our spot for fried chicken for sure, we have been looking for great fried chicken, we no longer need to look anymore. Can’t wait to try some of the sandwiches, kudos Urban skillet, really glad you are close and local!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have been to Urban Skillet multiple times. I recently took my son and daughter there for dinner. It was my sons 23rd birthday. I had the the Original Skillet Burger. My son got the barbecue wings. I would highly recommend trying them out. The food was SPECTACULAR 5 STARS!!!

They have big delicious burgers, but I just had a few thing to point out. I ordered a Southern BBQ burger, which had great ingredients (toppings, the bun they used, the meat, etc.), but I was really surprised that it didn’t come with a side like fries. You would need to order that separately. I also appreciated that, for as big as the burger was, it didn’t fall apart.
The other thing I wanted to point out was how warm it was in the restaurant. I came here towards the end of June looking for some reprieve from the heat and maybe their AC was busted, but the temperature was a bit uncomfortably warm.
Overall, it’s worth a try if you’re craving a burger and the have beautiful interior design. They also let me charge my electric scooter while I ate☺️. So come and try Urban Skillet!

The food was soooo good. I’m grateful that we have another halal joint in the city because I was starved for them. The burgers here are top notch. The fries are great. We went a bit early and the kitchen was in full swing for a huge catering order of chicken wings so we didn’t get to try that but we had the original skillet, the chicken sandwich, and the chicken fries. All the food was well worth the wait. Since it was early, the brisket wasn’t done yet but they were nice enough to bring us some brisket fries to try once the brisket was done. The brisket fries were out of this world and we can’t wait to try the brisket burger.
We’ll be back here soon to try the wings (most anticipated for me), the brisket burger, and everything else on the menu! Overall we had great service and had great food.

Great customer service with confidence and swagger for this team at Urban Skillet. The burgers were reasonably priced and the fries were a meal all to themselves. The restaurant was clean and the service was quick. The only issue is that they’re smother by the overrated national chain which is their next door neighbor. Skip the national chain and stop in at Urban Skillet.

Good food, generous portions, nice staff. For all the people saying “5 Guys is right next door” – 5 Guys does not use halal meat while Urban Skillet does. Thats the key difference, also Urban Skillet is way more flavorful.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! My fiancee and I woke up a little late and decided to stop by for a late lunch, as I had seen this location was highly rated. We happened in between rushes and the team were all lovely, especially the younger man who seemed to be in charge. I was slightly apprehensive about trying mushrooms on my chicken sandwich, but it was amazing! My fiancee loved his burger as well and our fries where great too. The team went above and beyond to make sure our stop by went well. Every table was cleaned, the trash was empty, every single item was stocked, we LOVED our time here! The young man, mentioned above, even went out of his way to tell us about Urban Skillet’s past and about his experiences in this specific store (since we had never been here before). I absolutely will come back to this location and general brand after how great my experience was here!
