FUOCO’s mission is to bring pizza lovers the best coal fired experience without having to travel to New Haven. At FUOCO, we keep it simple, stay passion.

Menu | Cheshire – Fuoco Coal Fired Apizza

Due to extreme temperatures of our coal fired brick oven, pizzas have a tendency to be darker when fully cooked. Pizzas can be lighter baked upon request.

Today the Slice Mob rolled in hungry, loud, and ready to work. Fifteen deep, four new faces, and we basically packed the place. Exactly how it should be.

The vibe at Fuoco hits immediately. Warm, energetic, and unmistakably pizza-first. The coal-fired oven is the heartbeat of the room. You can feel it. You can smell it. And when those pies start coming out, you know you’re in the right place.

George was outstanding. An amazing host who handled us taking over his dining room like a pro. Every pizza came out dialed in. No panic. No shortcuts. Just confidence and consistency.

I went with The Rustica- meatball, sausage, mushrooms, and roasted peppers. Absolute home run.
• Thin crust with a light char that adds just the right smoky edge
• Sauce was balanced and flavorful without stealing the show
• Meatball and sausage brought richness and depth
• Roasted peppers tied everything together beautifully

This is a pizza that knows exactly what it’s trying to be, and it executes.

Fuoco is constantly ranked among the best in the state, and for good reason. But what really stands out is that despite all the success, George remains completely down to earth. He came out, hung with us, chatted, and made us feel like regulars.

Great pizza. Great people. Great energy.

And yeah… you already knew that.

First time here, and the pizza was amazing. Some of the best we have had in a very long time. We ordered the Vodka pizza and the Fuoco Special. Vodka sauce and pizza sauce were awesome. The veggies in the special were sliced very thin which we liked. Not huge chunks.
Ordered the calamari for an appetizer which was also very good, and fresh. Two small pizzas is definitely enough for at least 3 people. Thin, crust, New Haven style cooked perfect.
The only downfall we felt was the seating/ordering. Very take out type vibe with just some small basic seats, not the real dine in place we were hoping for. And we were continuously bombarded with people coming in and out for take out pretty much in our face crowding our table while eating. Very small location. I do not recommend setting anywhere near the back enterance to avoid this. You ordered at the counter instead of having a waitress, like take out. They had hard rock playing (Bad Wolves, Disturbed) which is totally fine with me, but is definitely not everyone’s taste.
If we are in the area again we would definitely stop by for the pizza.

I gave the atmosphere five stars because it was take out. You don’t come here for the atmosphere though you come for the pizza. So let’s talk pizza.

I ordered two small pizzas which came up to $31. One was the Worcester pizza and the other was a sausage pizza (regular mozzarella).

Both pizzas were done and under 10 minutes. I was the last customer of the night.
The Worcester Pizza was amazingly packed with flavor. I think I would still like to try it with mozzarella cheese.
The sausage I ordered to compare it to Christo’s sausage pizza I had last week. I must admit the sausage pizza was good, but for some reason, not better than Christos.

Overall, the pizza had a little too much dusting on the bottom of the pizza for my liking. Maybe a little more sausage or smaller chunks. The flavor was there.

That Worcester Pizza is even good cold. I’ve never had anything like it before and this was a pleasant first try. Those tomatoes and the preparation of everything top-tier.

I’d give this establishment a 4.5 but the brother Christos I would give a 4.65

Ordered for pickup, said the wait was 35, it was more so 20 minutes so very quick turnover on the pizza on a saturday. Small New Haven pizza was very good, perfect char, great sauce, nice and thin. I would say this is a top 10 pizza spot in CT. I cannot comprehend all the 1 star reviews.

First visit…Drove 25 miles to try their pizza because I love coal fire pizza. So was driving an hour round trip worth it? Yes! I got the 18″ pizza, half bacon and half meatball. I loved it! Can’t find pizza like that in Bristol, CT so the drive didn’t bother me. I placed my order online and went in and picked it up. The employee was friendly and the pizza was ready as i arrived. Next time I go I’m going to try their wings and the cheese steak egg rolls. Give the pizza a try, especially if you love New Haven style apizza, like me.

My recent visit to Fuoco Pizza in Cheshire, CT, was a great decision! We ordered two large cheese pizzas, which came to about $50 with tax and Foxon Park sodas – a brand I always appreciate for its variety. The women working upfront were friendly and welcoming and helped answers questions we had.
The cheese pizza itself was outstanding!!! The crust was perfectly crunchy, light, and not greasy at all. You could clearly taste the fresh sauce, and I think what was the sprinkle of Pecorino ? or Parmesan? on top was the perfect finish. Really great!!
Seriously, this is great pizza and well worth a visit. I’m so glad we went!

I finally had the chance to come here on my birthday weekend, and they did not disappoint! I felt bad that we got there an hour before closing time, but the staff didn’t mind one bit! They were more than happy to let us pick a table and happily put our order in once we were ready. Very friendly too! The pizza came out hot, fresh, and fast. And let me tell you, it’s some of the best NH style “apizza” I have had in a long time! I had the chicken Florentine and my girlfriend had the burrata. Both pies were amazing! I see why Portnoy gave them his blessing! Get yourself a pie from Fuoco! You won’t be disappointed!

Love this place. Authentic and down to earth with great music and atmosphere. Pizza was perfectly chared and ready to eat. Glad to have them so close to southbury. We got the steak fajitas pizza and the money hots pie. Flavor was off the charts. Staff was attentiveand kept up on the cleaning fast and efficient.

The service was pretty good and they were quick with making our pies. Lady at the register was nice. Our soda was warm fresh out the fridge so we had to ask for ice. The pies themselves were alright. I definitely saw photos and expected more. Would I recommend the place to a friend? No, probably not. But if that were the only place open to eat at then I would say go for it.

Fuoco Pizza was a takeout decision, which is often where pizza shows its true character. No ambiance to lean on. No atmosphere to distract. Just dough, heat, and judgment.

Let us address the crust first. Thick crust, no thank you, thin crust only and Fuoco executes it properly. Crisp where it should be, structured enough to travel, and respectful of the toppings rather than competing with them.

Two pies were ordered. Buffalo chicken and habanero chicken. Both were excellent choices and would satisfy most tables without debate. The buffalo chicken was balanced and familiar. Comforting. Reliable. A flavor that knows its place.

Then there was the habanero chicken. This is where Fuoco shows quiet authority. The heat is intentional and measured. A clean spice that builds gradually and leaves behind just enough sweat to earn your respect. It never overwhelms the flavor, which remains the focus from first bite to last. A rare and appreciated discipline.

Fuoco Pizza does not rely on novelty. It delivers through execution. Thin crust done right. Toppings applied with purpose. Spice handled with maturity.
