Golden Dragon is a family favorite! We have been coming here for years, making the drive from Riverside, and it’s well worth the drive!
The Aromatic Shrimp is amazing! The Their Honey Glazed Walnut a shrimp is the best!! Our daughters favorite is the Chicken Chow Mein. Any of the Fried Rice dishes are great, but ours is the House (it’s a mix of all of them)! For appetizers, we love the egg rolls!! The service is top-notch! Everyone we bring here gets hooked!
Tip: Eat family style so you get to try all the delicious dishes picked by others. You won’t be disappointed!

I have been coming here since 1988 my first husband and I went here on our first date,we came here when we got married had kids, even after our divorce..lol always greeted by “mama”..she was always greeting her guests with such warmth n cheer..my favorite thing was to here her say see you tomarrow..lol this resturaunts is family owned, they have been successful because of their food and they way they treat their customers..except its the only Chinese resturaunt locally that I love,my kids who are now adults love it too.Even when I moved out of the oc..I still came back.I now live in the oc again raised here all my life, I’m a foodie and like I stated…this place is the best..I highly recommend that you visit and enjoy the food.its a great place for a date or families.
Special occasions etc.I will tell you this…I will be sad if this place ever closes..and mama I believe is retired and I miss her warmth..but her son is now running the place and he is just as friendly..they have take out as well.plenty of parking.come check it out see all their reviews n on the web site u can see mama..and read about all the accolades. Enjoy!

We’ve been here several times because the food is GOOD!!! Gotta have the sizzling rice soup…we got it for 4 people and stuffed ourselves . Orange chicken is good as well as the Mongolian beef! Shrimp fried rice was delicious!!. Friendly atmosphere and good service. Definitely a go-to.

Is there ZERO stars? I ordered 20 entrees for my guests and the food was INEDIBLE that I had to place it in the garbage! The beef and chicken didn’t taste like meat, the noodles smelled horrible, and the vegetables were slimy! I called the restaurant and the manager instead of providing me with customer service told me “it’s impossible” and asked me to FAX the pictures of the trashed food. You can see them below instead, since I can’t fax and asked him to provide me with an email address, he said no fax is the only way. Anyway, both food and customer service was unacceptable!

Average Chinese food. The wonton soup has lots of sesame oil in it, so that overpowers the rest of the flavor. The orange chicken uses previously frozen pieces of chicken that are slightly tough. The Mongolian Beef is good but has a very mild flavor profile. The hot and sour soup is good. The egg foo young is good but different. It is actually a large ball of deep fried shredded vegetables with a side of rich gravy.

Got an order for pick up and was really disappointed by the quality for the price. Rice was terrible and smelled old. The brocolli they gave us had black spots looked like it was going bad!

Shrimp tasted ok but was very small and not many pieces.

Best Chinese restaurant in Costa Mesa. Staff is very friendly and this place has been here for a very long time. Used to live in the same neighborhood 15 years ago and it was even as poplar for when craving Chinese food.

We were skeptical of all the polarizing ratings, but decided to give it a shot anyway. It wasn’t very good. Not terrible, just ok. Probably won’t be back.
We ordered the white rice (did not taste good), veggie chow mein (no flavor), orange chicken (pretty good), and the Sichuan beef (weird flavor)
