1. My friend and I decided to go here on a Wednesday night, because we saw the marquee several times advertising 1/2 price food and $5 cocktails on Wednesday and Friday between 7-9 pm. We arrived within the allotted time frame. We asked the hostess about the Wednesday special and she said that there was no special.
(There’s even a sign in the stair well advertising certain $9 drinks on Wednesday)
When our server, Unique, came over, we asked her about the special and she said, happy hour is only Friday, Saturday, Sunday. This should have been our first cue to leave.

2. We ordered nacho fries to share and a 32 ounce pitcher. We verified that we were sharing the one order of nacho fries before she left the table. The restaurant was not crowded maybe people at 5 tables at most. It took 15 minutes to get our drink and 30 minutes before the fries came out.

3. When the food finally came out, Unique brought us the nacho fries and a regular order of fries. We informed her that we did not order the regular fries. Her response was “Well at first you did” and we did say fries before we knew nacho fries were an option and we changed it. Instead of owning her mistake, she acted like it was our fault instead of taking it off our tab.
4. OUR TOTAL WAS $62 FOR NACHO FRIES, FRIES, AND ONE 32 oz DRINK ( the drink was $25). In the total before taxes was 47. Theres a credit card surcharge and 20% gratuity. I was aware of the gratuity. But the gratuity is charged after they add taxes and fees instead of the subtotal. I feel like Unique added the fries on our bill just to run up the total.

5. They will never see me again. The vibe is great and it could have been a cool little hangout a few minutes from my house, but I’ll never go back because of their false advertisement and grimey practices. It’s crazy to loose costumers by overcharging instead of creating returning customers

6. This was my second attempt trying to patronize this resturant. The first Wednesday we went at 7 and the restaurant wasnt even open. We tried calling to confirm the hours and we just got a voicemail.

Not only did owner change the orginal response, I have not been offerered any resolution, no credit to my card and the marquee is still advertising the same Wenesday specials.

Lip service only and then renigged on that. I really am rooting for you, I want every establishment in the SWATs to succeed because there aren’t many options to begin with…but do better.

This place was a bucket list stop for me and I’m happy that I finally made it to visit all the way from Detroit! I came to the Saturday night Sip and Skate. My server V was the best! She checked on me, gave suggestions on what to order and she made sure to keep my drinks filled. The bartenders Hazel and Mya did good with the drinks and the music was hitting all night! I will definitely be back next time I’m in ATL. I had fun eating, vibing and watching the skaters in the arena.

Cool spot. Grateful to get made to order food and drinks while skating. You could just go for the vibes or both. They had a great variety for the drink menu. I felt the prices were reasonable. The food menu was pretty good size with a good amount of options. I thought the food was pretty good. I didn’t like the sweet potato it’s more personal preference i prefer yams /chunks in syrup. I’m not a fan of the mashed sweet potatoes. The server / bartender we had tall black male was cool very professional and friendly. Definitely would go back and support this establishment again.

Cliff Notes:
Inviting atmosphere, misleading advertising, poor service, and excessive fees. I will not return.

Extended Review:
This establishment is conveniently located about ten minutes from my home. Because I work far from home, I had been intentionally trying to make it back in time to enjoy the advertised happy hour displayed on the marquee on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. When I finally made it in, the initial impression was positive. The vibe upon entry was pleasant, I was seated with a view of the skating rink, and visually the space is appealing. While it is marketed as an “upscale lounge,” that description feels overstated; however, the setting is cute enough and I remained optimistic.

Unfortunately, the experience quickly declined once service began. There were no specials—despite the illuminated marquee advertising them. I was informed that the signage was incorrect, even though it is only turned on during the days the specials are supposedly offered. That alone felt misleading.

I placed a simple order after asking one clarifying question about preparation, which the server confirmed. Despite there being fewer than 20 patrons in the venue, the food took approximately 30 minutes to arrive. When it did, an additional item I did not order was included. I politely addressed this with the server, Unique, who insisted that it was what I ordered. When I reminded her of our conversation, she dismissed it by stating I “went down a rabbit hole,” maintained that the order was correct, and offered no resolution or assistance. The interaction was unprofessional and unhelpful.

When the check arrived, I was genuinely surprised. For three items—one of which I did not order but allowed to remain on the bill to avoid further conflict—the total was nearly $65. The pricing issue was not the menu items themselves, but the excessive fees. Mandatory gratuity was applied not only to the food, but also to taxes and additional fees. As an Atlanta native, I am accustomed to automatic gratuity; however, applying it to taxes and fees is excessive and inappropriate.

While the food and drinks were decent, they were not impressive enough to offset the poor service, misleading advertising, and inflated charges.

I had already mentioned this venue to several friends who live nearby and had been considering it as a place to frequent and potentially recommend through various organizations I am involved with. Unfortunately, that will not be the case. This experience was disappointing, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Valencia appeared to be an excellent server right up until the point that we asked for the check and the math wasn’t mathin! She attempted to add an additional $35 to my bill that included gratuity anyway! My total before tax was $90+ and should’ve been $56! I went to her with my calculations on the screen of my phone and she immediately went “oh my bad that wasn’t supposed to happen!” Before I could finish my first sentence. She “fixed” the bill, but added additional charges to the second as well. I simply paid the adjustment on my phone (because you obviously can’t trust them with your card) and left. It’s a shame because I love that place and as a OG Atlantan I hate to see the decline in honesty and trustworthy service. I will never spend another dollar there after 20+ years of memories and it’s a shame. IF YOU GO UPSTAIRS CALCULATE YOUR RECEIPT! They will try to play in your face. I hope this finds management as well because if y’all think the only people that go there are illiterate or ignorant you are sorely mistaken.

I get the same foods and drinks on a regular basis. So for me it’s the bourbon salmon, tacos, and lemon pepper chicken wings with fries.

Now the drinks are chef’s kiss when Bob (with the dreds) or Mya is making them! I’ve had the seafood boil when it was in its infancy and it was good then so it’s probably better now.

Depending on the night I decide to go, it can be like the club or dead. Either way, the lighting and music selection keep the ambiance nice regardless of the crowd size.

My favorite nights are Taco Tuesday (just go on Tuesdays) and Sip & Skate Saturdays. I usually stay until closing.

Side note: If you have older kids (not babies) who want to skate and you want to have a place to chill, just go up to the lounge and you can eat, drink and watch your kids skate.

PS: Having my next birthday wrap again at the Marquis in the VIP section in 2025!

This restaurant is completely unprofessional and FRAUDULENT!! DO NOT EAT HERE. I was enjoying my food, it was delicious! Until I found a hair wrapped around my broccoli. They tried to accuse me of lying about it and gave me a hard time. They said they’d give me a “small plate” of my food and take $5 off. I asked for half off and they in turn said they’d just take the entire meal off my tab. I checked my account and see they charged me anyway! Didn’t even give me food to go. I didn’t even give them my card. They must have found my card on file after I purchased a ticket for skates. I’m very disappointed in this establishment. Do not eat here, they will not accommodate you and their customer service SUCKS.

Nice setting & a cool lounge. The service was extremely slow though & everything is so lax with everybody. My girl ordered a drink & wings, and ended up waiting long enough to get another drink. Was told the kitchen was backed up, but people who came after us received their food long before us. Only ordered a 10 piece wing. Aside from the ridiculous hour long wait for food, & nothing done to aid it, everything else was cool. Would not recommend ordering food from the lounge if you decide to go.
