Will start with the fact that I eat here all the time. Can usually sit down quickly without too much of a wait, you don’t have to deal with CU kids, people are super friendly, and the food comes out hot and quick.
But if we’re being honest, the food is a 3.5/5.

We absolutely loved our experience at Dot’s, from the eclectic decorations to Luna our server, who was an absolute DELIGHT (when she learned we were down for our dog to have a procedure she asked our names (and our pups) so she could pray for us specifically), to the delicious food, we would DEFINITELY recommend a stop here!

Went here for brunch with friends! We all got eggs, hashbrowns and sausage/bacon and the biscuits were amazing! Eggs cooked perfectly to order. Good ole traditional dinner food with the diner vibes youd expect

We were kind of skeptical when we arrived but Dots Dinner exceeded our expectations. The food was good and our waitress was very nice. I was happy to see the plant based sausage. The service was very fast. Would recommend if you are in Boulder

Every time I eat here, it’s like a home cooked meal. The eggs are free range, the coffee’s organic, and they have plenty of variety if I’m not game for a traditional breakfast…There’s the standards, which keep ‘em coming back, and then substitutions like gluten free, oat milk, all the important Boulder things. It’s a relief to find somewhere that has vegetarian sausages! and Of course they figured out the best recipe in town for gluten free pancakes with real maple syrup! What’s also a treat is they always have an authentic Nepalese selection because half the staff are from Pokhara, Nepal. If you love chai, they’ve got it down!
This is the quintessential diner, a Boulder icon. There’s even photos of traditional diners in some of the booths. What a treat. Completely eclectic diner decor with gorgeous metal photographs for sale on the walls.
And to top it off…The wait staff couldn’t be kinder and more accommodating.

The older lady with the long black hair was very rude to the guy sitting next to me at the bar. He asked for his check and she stated she was too busy at the moment then proceeded to tell him how stressful her job was. He explained he was pressed for time and she did not care. She was also very short with me and was not a polite person. She stated she had others to help before she could help me. Customer service is horrible here. The food was average. Prices are what you might expect in Boulder. I hope this is not the normal and she is just having a bad day

My husband and I stopped here for a hearty meal on our way to Rocky Mountain national park. Luna was amazing! We loved the portion options (small or large), Luna provided me a small cup of flavored syrup for my coffee so I could add as much as I wanted, and the food was super delicious. We really loved their hash browns. They were seasoned so well. We look forward to coming back when we visit again.

I’ve been driving past the place for years in the afternoon, and it’s always been closed. I happen to be in the neighborhood in the morning yesterday, and stopped by to look a little more closely. It’s a breakfast place.
I sat down for the classic American breakfast (two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, hash browns ,and coffee) and I really loved it. The hash browns had a great peppery taste. Black pepper, not red pepper. And with just the right amount of crispy.
The pancakes were properly sized, bacon, was the right amount of crispy, and the eggs were very fresh
I’ll definitely be back.
