Absolutely authentic Indian food!
I lived in Asia for 12 years and I can say this is real Indian food in La Fortuna.
The ambience is very nice and the owner is super friendly, he has many history to tell about how he arrived to Costa Rica by bicycle.
It’s not been my first time here and it won’t be my last!!!!! If you looking for a great and very tasty Indian food you cannot miss this place!!!! 10/10

Absolutely delicious! Perfect for locals and tourists. I live in California with my husband and honestly, we have never had better Indian food! Staff was very kind and the restaurant was very cute on the inside and outside. Again, seriously the best Indian food I’ve had.

Me and my girlfriend are vegetarian and vegan and Indian Curry House offers a loooot of Options
We tried the Channa Masala (with Plain Rice) and the Tofu Curry (with fried Tofu), the Garlic and the Cheese Naan as well as the Plain Papadan and the Vegetable Samosas. We ate there a few times and can recommend everything! The Channa Masala was by far our favourite 🙂
If you like spicy, this is the right place (also for the non-spicy lovers of course)
The Mango Lassi also tastes amazing
The Ambiente is really nice and welcoming, you can sit inside as well as outside
Definitely the best Indian Restaurant you can find in La Fortuna!
Thank you Dnyan for the great food and eating with us while telling us Storys from your Travels! ☺️

Food quality and taste was very good. The quantity was a little less for the amount we pay. They also have an automatic 25% tax and service fees added to your bill which may surprise you. Gyaneshwar the chef is a very friendly person. He can customize your order.

The best Indian food in town. Good quality and good size dish. The paneer was perfect and Chicken nicely marinated and soft. Very authentic food. Thanks to Uttam and the chef Kamal who told us they get their spices from India to give it the true Indian flavors. It was even less expensive than the other place we went to yesterday and better. Highly recommend.

We were visiting Costa Rica for a few days and were craving Indian food. Decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed! The food was excellent! It tasted great and the portion sizes were good for the price. There was enough seating for our party of 7. The owner of the place was very friendly and we had a nice conversation with him, as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I visited India Curry House last night and it was a 10/10 experience. If you want authentic Indian food in La Fortuna, you must visit. The food is made from the heart and the flavors are incredibly traditional.
A special shoutout to the owner, who is so welcoming and kind—you can really tell they care about their guests.
What’s great is that this isn’t just a restaurant; they also have their own hostel and bar on-site. It is the perfect place to “chilli up” and relax. We really enjoyed the hookah and the laid-back atmosphere. It’s a fantastic spot for families who want a good meal, but also perfect for friends who want to hang out, have a drink, and chill. Definitely a must-visit gem!

There were 23% surcharges on top of food prices. 13% of service charges plus 10% for service charge for a to go order.
On top of it my daughter found a hair in a roti and we had to discard that. Also couple of roti were not even cooked fully.

Very bad experience. Just went last night. 12/27/25. Service is beyond TERRIBLE. Waited for almost an hour for the food to arrive. Food was okay at best. Lamb curry had many bones and chunks of fat. Like I said before, service was absolutely terrible. I normally don’t ever write reviews, this may very well be my first one, but the experience was so egregious I had to let others know. After waiting an hour for our order to arrive, we were completely ignored by the waiter. Had to ask twice for more water even though the pitcher was empty for more than 10 minutes each time. No napkins were provided at the table. And each time we requested something it took a good 5-10 minutes for them to accommodate us. Finally we asked for the check. Waited about 15 minutes. Nothing. Asked again for the check, finally about 5 minutes later it arrives. Outside of the things we ordered there was some tax I never received at other restaurants and an automatic gratuity ( for what, I ask them?). The total was approximately an extra 30%. Do yourself a favor and do not go here. You will regret it if you do.
