You can tell the food is going to slap when you walk in and they’re pretend arguing with a regular customer.

The Tribe was super well balanced, the rye bread is arguably the best I’ve ever had (the sourdough starter is 86 years old). They also give you a chocolate chip cookie under the sandwich, which is such a nice surprise. The pickle was too salty for me with no other flavor. The sugar kichel was also very good, can’t wait to come back!

I ordered a regular corned beef sandwich, a cup of matzo ball soup, and a Snapple. The food was pretty good. The corned beef sandwich wasn’t huge like Slyman’s, just normal sized, but was really good. Pickle was dry and small. Chocolate chip cookie was crunchy (I like soft and fresh). Matzo ball soup was decent but needed salt. Workers were generally friendly.

My biggest complaint is the price. I spent $25 on the sandwich, soup, and a Snapple tea. I had a to-go lunch order; I did not dine in. I could go somewhere else for lunch, dine in, and still be under $25 after tip.

I would consider returning here for lunch but not unless they lower their prices. They have decent food but not good enough for the cost.

10 out of 10! First time and was sincerely welcomed on my first visit. I ordered the matzo ball soup and Joe recommended the corned beef on rye. The matzo is everything you want and need on a chilly day and the corned beef is amazing. Tender, flavorful, juicy, tender, and sliced just right piled high on fresh rye with a hefty smear of mustard. To my surprise I found two pickles and a fresh chocolate chip cookie tucked in with the sandwich. The bakery side is filled with bread, bars, and cookies. I chose the raspberry chocolate Russian tea cake, a giant Chinese cookie, and Joe gifted me a coconut bar. So good!!!!

I stopped by today to pick up bakery for work. I spent $32 on assorted pastries and the young lady that was helping me shoved all of my pastries into one tiny box. Smashing all of my items and no one could see what they were. Terrible.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful and nostalgic bakery where all your favorites live. While you’re there get a freshly made deli sandwich and sit in the café to enjoy it. Next party leave the catering to them! I’ve gotten veggie platers, spinach dip with brown bread (pumpernickel?), and cookies, and cake, and sandwiches! My friends rave! Great shop, great people!

Amazing sandwiches! One of our go-to spots whenever we’re in the area. We highly recommend the New Yorker and the Browns. The corned beef and rye are outstanding. The hospitality is always warm and welcoming, and we feel fortunate to have visited this lovely establishment.

Davis Bakery is a delightful gem that truly embodies the charm of a local bakery. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The aroma of freshly baked goods is intoxicating, drawing you in to explore the wide array of treats on display.

The selection of baked goods is impressive, featuring everything from artisanal breads and pastries to delectable cakes and cookies. Each item is crafted with care, showcasing high-quality ingredients and a commitment to traditional baking methods. The cinnamon rolls are a must-try—fluffy, sweet, and perfectly spiced. The cakes are not only visually stunning but also incredibly moist and flavorful.

In addition to their baked goods, Davis Bakery also offers a fantastic deli menu that deserves recognition. The deli features a variety of sandwiches, salads, and hearty soups, all made with fresh ingredients. The sandwiches are particularly noteworthy, with generous portions and a range of options to suit different tastes. The classic deli meats are complemented by house-made spreads and toppings, making each sandwich a satisfying meal.

Customer service at Davis Bakery is exceptional. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations based on your preferences. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, you’re treated with kindness and genuine enthusiasm.

The bakery also offers a cozy seating area, making it a perfect spot to enjoy your treats with a cup of coffee or a delectable deli meal. It’s an ideal place for casual meetings or a relaxing afternoon with friends.

Overall, Davis Bakery is a standout establishment that combines quality, flavor, and a welcoming environment. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack, a delicious deli lunch, or planning a special occasion, you can’t go wrong here. Highly recommended!

I grew up with bakery from Davis as a child. Mom and Dad would bring home coconut bars, freshly sliced bread, challah…as well as other items from the deli. I got two bagels withox, cream cheese and tomato. Such memories. I had a small get-together there after my father’s funeral earlier. I bought some coconut bars and ate them later in his honor.

First time here and we weren’t very hungry so we ate pastries. The lemon bar and carrot cake bar were very delicious. Can’t wait to try a sandwich. We saw others eating very delicious looking sandwiches.
