TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Super fresh made-to-order chicken tenders. Absurd size, very seasoned and delicious. Succulent is the word coming to mind, juicy and hot. Fries were seasoned and yummy. I added the honey and dave’s sauce to each bite of the sandwich and tender – what a delicious combo. Soda fountain was clutch, best pebble ice in the area. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I placed an order online for pick up. I got the number two with One reaper and one hot slider. I made it halfway through the reaper before my stomach caught on fire. Thought I was going to die. I threw the rest of the entire meal out. I would definitely go back, but I would never eat the reaper again. Chicken was good, fries were good, sauce was good. I’m no stranger to hot food, but that was absolutely ridiculous.

I had high expectations, as the hype train has been real. My partner and I stopped in after the movies and grabbed the number three, which was a tender, slider, and fries for $13.99. We also got a medium drink for $3.
I thought it was worth it, and it was actually really good. You get to pick your spice level of each item as they are dry rubbed, which was delicious. We got medium and hot, and we handle heat well, so next time, I would personally try the extra hot, yet both were packed with flavor. We split the serving as it felt like a large portion for one person.
I would go back instead of other fast food as the place was clean (it’s new), the staff were friendly, and overall food was worth the price.

The cashier that assisted me was unreal! I am truly grateful for Daemon’s assistance. He went truly above and beyond to make my experience incredible! I wish there was a better way to acknowledge how amazing he is.
The bun for the slider is incredible!! The slice of bread included with the tender is not very good. I wish they provided a bread similar to the slider. The chicken is delicious but the bun certainly put the meal over the top. I hope they put chicken in their Mac and cheese one day. The Mac and cheese left something to be desired and I think it’s too airy. It needs something thick and substantive.
The seasoned chicken is absolutely magical! Just to note, the chicken sandwich is not easy to eat while driving due to how large it is.
The store does have wheelchair accessible parking. I ran into the store but was unable to see the bathroom.

We ordered sliders and tenders meals.
The food took about 5 minutes. It came out hot and fresh. The tenders were big, juicy, and crispy. The sliders had pickles, slaw, and sauce. They were pretty filling. The options for spice levels were on point!
The tenders had plenty of meat. Looked like half of a chicken breast.
The bread was soft. The pickles on the side had a nice zest!
All of the food was delicious.
I have to say that, unfortunately, the next morning, we were regretting our decision

Dave’s opening shows a great new direction for the fast food industry in the greater Philadelphia era. The trio of Assad’s, Canes, and now Dave’s reflects the great options now available to South Jersey. I think the best way to review Dave’s is in comparison to Canes, the closest chicken place to the new Cherry Hill location. When it comes to the quality of chicken, Dave’s shines brightly. Each piece was juicy and tender, with the spectrum of spice options bringing inclusive options for those who both love and detest spice. In comparison to Canes, which needs sauce to be good, Dave’s chicken shines even without sauce. When held up against Canes, Dave’s fries are excellent. They have a good amount of flavor and tasted fresh and crisp. The inclusion of pickles also tied together the flavors perfectly. By far the best menu item at Dave’s was their slider. When cheese was added, this was the perfect combination of flavors. The food is also affordable, with a high quantity of food coming at a reasonable price (when held up to other fast food options). Lastly, the wait was not too long, with the food certainly justifying the wait. My biggest complaint is that I was unable to order ahead on the app, which greatly diminished efficiency.
