Customer service was terrible and slow. Asked for dressing on the side and got extra dressing on sub. That small cup is the side of ranch given for a large order of mushrooms. My 6in steak and cheese (pictured) was indeed 6in, and had about the circumference of my ranch cup…No hair nets, using gloved hands to touch everything in the kitchen and then touching food. Huge Tubbys fan, and this is just sad.

Eh, it was only ok! The price was on the higher side for just average good. Service was ok, food was ok, dining room was clean. Nothing really stood out other than getting a better deal elsewhere for better portions and a more upscale experience. I’ll be back but my first choice will be Boffs meat market restaurant right down the street.

I’ve been coming here for years. The most disheartening thing ever is the price hike. A 12 inch, mushroom steak and cheese sub at the Hoover location is $12.50. It’s only $8.50 in Saint Claire Shores. 33% upcharge on Hoover Road for what? I’d be better off heading to the other location. Literally haven’t been back since I saw how much prices have increased, and this used to be the ONLY location I’d go to. So sad.
EDIT: I made this review back in 2023. It is now nearly September 2025 and the price went from 8.50 to eventually 12.50 and it is now 13.95.
Legitimately makes me so sad, Tubbys is my favorite place and they’re going to price themselves out of business.

Meat has absolutely no taste texture of sand , very little cheese.

Ordered a load steak and cheese sub. Went to work on my work break found out the sub had no steak in it. Very disappointed and had no dinner that evening. Went back the next day, all they offered me was a refund or remake it. I asked for a extra sub for my inconvenience they said no. I’ll never come back to this location. The subs at this location are the best anyways.
