Staff members even remember my son’s name, where he likes to sit, and what he usually orders. You are treated like a member of the family here, and you never feel as though you’re waiting for anything. This is a true credit to the wonderful management and the fantastic staff who have cultivated such a warm and welcoming environment.
Thank you – it is appreciated!
The food was absolutely amazing. The pizzas were fresh out of the oven, with a perfect thin crust — crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. The toppings were generous and full of flavour, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The dough balls were warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with that signature garlic butter — honestly, they’re a must-have every time! We also tried a few sides and desserts, and everything was spot on — especially the chocolate fudge cake, which was rich and delicious without being too heavy.
What really stood out was how clean and well-kept everything was. The tables, floors, and even the kitchen area (which you can see from some seats) were spotless. The restaurant had a cheerful atmosphere — busy enough to feel vibrant but not too loud to enjoy a proper conversation.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better meal. The service, food, and atmosphere all came together perfectly. It’s rare to find a place that feels this consistent every time you go, but Pizza Express really delivers on quality and care. The kids left happy, we left full, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommend — a true five-star experience!
We attended as a family of four, including our two young children aged 2 and 3. We were seated without a booking, given menus and children’s activity packs, and then left without any further acknowledgement.
We waited for around 10 minutes during which time two families who arrived after us were seated and served. Their orders were taken while no one approached our table, including the waiter who had seated us and walked past our table multiple times. No drinks order or check-in was offered.
I raised this with the manager, who identified himself as Jack. I was told there had been a “mix-up” and that another waiter was meant to be assigned to us. Given the small size of the restaurant, the visible presence of our menus still on the table, and the fact we were clearly a family with young children, this explanation did not address the situation adequately.
The response felt dismissive rather than apologetic. As the only family of colour present, the experience caused my wife to feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is deeply upsetting in a family restaurant.
While no explicit statement was made, the difference in treatment raises a genuine concern of potential discrimination. We left without ordering.
Based on this experience, we would not recommend this branch.
Our meals were served warm, it was generous and delicious especially for our empty tummies. For health reasons, I had the salad (Nicoise), my partner had some pasta dish, and my son had his usual margarita pizza . No complaints about the food. This was the first time I ever tried a salad for my main meal at a restaurant, and I was surprised how filling it was. Top choice indeed.
Service wasn’t too bad, smiles from our waiter (can’t recall his name), would have been a great addition, but hey, you can’t win them all.
Overall, definitely recommend Pizza Express Windsor when you are in the area. Please just be sure to call or go online and book in advance…you have been warned ⚠️ , otherwise you’ll miss out.
The food was great, one of the best Pizza Express I’ve been too. Well done back of house team for the delicious food.
Great recommendations and food! Thank you Amar for the stellar service! 🙂
