Great place for Thai food, but we came in with a group of eight adults and four kids and the employee seemed entirely upset we were there. We needed two high chairs and that was all they had in the restaurant and the employee gave us a mean look when we asked for them. It took a long time for our orders to be taken, which means waiting even longer for our littles. Basically I liked the food, I got a yummy yellow curry, but this is not a ‘family friendly’ establishment. They clearly want you to leave the kids at home.

The food is ok. Tofu and garden rolls seem not made to order, which is fine with me, but the prices don’t reflect the quality. If the entrees came down to $8 or $9, I would be willing to come back, but I’d rather drive to eugene for better and much cheaper Thai.
The staff seem very friendly and the service was great.

My favorite Thai restaurant, and probably my favorite overall restaurant in Albany. The food is excellent and the portions are generous, which is rarely the case. Usually when you get larger portions the food is worse, not at Tip Thai! Eat here, you won’t regret it!

I love Thia food! But because there are few options in Albany we have went to this restaurant multiple times.. Each time we order a dish- we never receive all the ingredients that it reads in the menu. Instead of 8 ingredient you might get 4. The food IS GOOD… But just don’t expect the dishes to be what you ordered.

I showed up at 8pm on a Tuesday and was told the only option was takeout even though they close at 9pm. I asked if we could get fresh rolls and the lady scoffed and was nearly upset that I would order such a thing considering how long it took them to make it. Additionally, we ordered tofu yellow curry and come to found out at home they used chicken. I know 100% for sure I said tofu as we don’t eat meat.

Unfortunately for them, we’ve decided not to return due to service (obviously) despite their good food (when prepared properly.) I guess it’s back to House of Noodle (where they care). Sad establishment 🙁
Edit: We have returned numerous times since ownership had changed hands. This restaurant is back to how it was before. I recommend it!

Being from Albany, I harbor a severe resentment for my hometown and thus deeply appreciate any reprieve from the locale as a whole. Imagine my delighted surprise, then, when my family and I came upon this little culinary wonder. The food was delicious, brought out promptly; and what’s more, when my dad gave the server some jocular attitude, she dished the sass right back at him. Dinner and a show, y’all. I love this place.

The place is delicious- some of the best thai I’ve had I think the atmosphere is nice, but I’ve only ordered out. I dunno about the other posters, but I have never gotten a wrong order after several times. These folks have accents which I never do well with, so maybe I am always just extra careful to communicate clearly, and that they read it back.
Try the coconut curry and the pad thai. Really can’t go wrong probably

Best Thai Food in the Valley. Everything is beautifully presented and very fresh. I just had the mango coconut curry, fresh garden rolls and the chicken satay. Very delicious!!!! Nice decor and service.

I love this place for lunch! $7.95 for whatever you want, extra for shrimp. My favorite is the Mango Paradise with Tofu. Good portion size, pretty atmosphere, and delicious. I crave it often.

3/14/18 – Value for the $$, aweful. Ordered the Tom Ka Soup, essentially coconut water with tomatoes. The older woman that serves is always pretty rude with no concept of being helpful or accommodating. Also relentless black flies landing on my dishes as I was trying to eat. Will wait for the next owner to try that one again. Shame too because I normally love Thai food.
