Halal Express is one of those low key spots that delivers. The food is fresh, flavorful, and the portions are generous. The sauces are addictive and tie everything together. Staff are always friendly and the service is good, which makes it an easy go to when you want something satisfying! I think it may be Wilmington’s only halal street style food cart?

Halal Express has some amazing Mediterranean options, and reasonably priced. I got the Combo Platter, which comes with lamb, chicken, rice, and a small salad. I also got the lamb wrap & fries. The wrap is well seasoned and perfect proportion. As far as sauces go; I prefer the extra spicy and garlic sauce, both have great flavor and I prefer adding them both to the wrap and platter! Service is always fast, and easy, free parking! I would give this place 4.5 out of 5 ⭐️

I’ve saw this Food Truck a couple of times before while I was in Wilmington, & decided to stop here for Lunch, & I didn’t regret it. Great Middle-Eastern Food! It was my first time trying NYC-style Halal Food, considering the lack of diverse food options here, & we don’t have a good Middle Eastern Restaurant down here (Peno’s Mediterranean is also good, too!). Very Friendly Customer Service from Abdul & the other Gentleman. The Food was great, the portions were large, & the pricing was great. I’ve ordered the Rice Platter, & I feel like that the Food could use just a little bit more seasoning, but the Meat & Rice was cooked very well. Overall, the Food tastes great. I’ll definitely will return here.

You guys. If you’ve ever had food from a halal cart before you would know that this place is NOT halal food. This is a sorry excuse for a halal cart. Not only is the food terrible, but the prices were insane too.
We got a chicken wrap and lamb over rice and it was around $30. The chicken was dry and tasteless, the white sauce is NOT tzatziki !! It’s just ranch??? And the lamb was NOT lamb? Instead I was served ground BEEF.
I’ve never felt scammed at a food truck before but this was crazy. Total waste of money and if you want good halal cart food look elsewhere.

I stopped here last week and my son LOVED it!! So tonight I ordered online when my son was at soccer practice and when I went to pick it up, it hadn’t gone through. The gentleman at the truck was phenomenal. After I had ordered my two plates the order did come across so he cancelled it and refunded the money. Now I’m eating my combo plate and don’t have to worry about that charge. That’s good customer service! Thank you!

The best food truck in Wilmington. Get the chicken nachos! Spicy if you like. Such a good deal, they load them up.

Unorganized bunch. Paid twice at their food truck, while they had no idea who to serve it to. Very sad, because I know Mediterranean service
is much better than that.

Been living in the Wilmington area for quite some time. Seen this truck around but never took the chance. Tonight I did and was blown away by the quality of the food, and friendliness of the staff. These guys are local legends and their food shows it. If you ever see these truck do not pass up the opportunity for a phenomenal meal.

I ordered a lamb wrap and fries. The fries were loaded with so much sauce and other ingredients that they were not edible. I could only pick around and eat the chicken that was around the fries. I am Iraqi and this is far from authentic Mediterranean food. Nothing tasted authentic. I got a wrap filled with 80% rice and bland lamb. I ordered two sides of white sauce that were just ranch. This place is really goofy and I would recommend going elsewhere unfortunately there really isn’t any places in ILM with good Mediterranean food! It’s sad. 22 for fries and a wrap fill with rice.
