At our Tuscaloosa, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Absolutely outstanding experience. Hot tasty food, clean seating areas, and a very kind staff. There were two different young men at the counter, both were incredibly kind and likable. Both of those gentlemen will make great leaders one day! By far the best captain D’s experience i have had. Couldn’t be happier with my visit.

One person working. The front cashier and the manager are gone and the cook can’t take orders. Cook called the manager who wouldn’t answer the phone. Been here almost 15 minutes. The lady before me had been here 15 minutes before I walked in. Really? Your staff can leave and there be NOBODY to take orders?? Now everybody who was in line (4 families) has left.

Ordered food online went to pick it up on Fri Oct 24th at about 7.30p the cashier was very nice but the manager had a real bad attitude all I did is ask a question about a free desert I guess I made her mad because the cashier didn’t know so she had to get up from sitting down to help the cashier

This restaurant has the most unpleasant and unprofessional crew. The manager is rude. Manager started a confrontation over a simple question and made physical threats towards me and this is how she handles matters. She takes herself and her crew out to the streets and lets the “hood” come out. Very unprofessional.

Fish Friday!! I literally just left from there and still thinking about how lovely the ladies are that work there. They were so sweet to me and my daughter. Those are now the Captain D’S Aunties. It’s clean in there. Everyone greeted me at the door. My food is fresh. They got all my sauces I requested while also being so genuinely kind. I always come back for the food but I’m definitely coming back next Friday to see my Captain D TeeTees.
