Very good!!! I am VERY happy we decided to come at the earliest dinner time, 5pm. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, and we needed that since we had our toddler with us for our anniversary dinner. This was started by an Iron Chef contestant (who lost against Bobby Flay, but it’s ok!) and we picked it for the traditional anniversary gift of “Iron” haha!

We looooved the pulled pork burrata appetizer! What a winner. I loved the brownie bites too, that were part of the three dessert bites sampler plate.

My gnocchi was good/decent! I think it was a little more on the crispy side than I was expecting. Toddler liked the gnocchi and it’s tomato sauce, and liked the fries even more. Husband thought it was a normal $20 burger 🙂

I have eaten here several times & everything was wonderful. Came here for a birthday dinner in September and had the worst experience. I hate to write a bad review but I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience what we did. Service was horrible, it took 57 minutes (yes we kept track) for the waitress to even bring us the check after asking not glancing at us once. The two waitresses/bartenders up stairs were taking shots openly while we were waiting. 2 people didn’t receive their meals and 1 meal served to the wrong person. Once the meals were received they were extremely overcooked. They split up our party even though calling beforehand to be seated together. Unfortunately will not return.

Great, healthy food with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options.
Loved the atmosphere too

We had the baked Brie, eggs Benedict, and turkey melt.

The service and fries and baked Brie were amazing! The steak for $38… do not order it if you like steak. I love rare steak with fat, but half the fat you couldn’t even chew (I had to spit it out). And as much as I don’t mind a fatty steak, you can see in the photo (which was the photo before I started eating) how much fat vs meat there was. O.o

All in all, if you are a steak lover, I wouldn’t recommend this steak. But definitely get the fries. Omg they were amazing (hence the 3 stars).

Also, the bartender was super nice and friendly!

Ordered the $44 steak ($67 Australian) and I could not chew it. It was tougher than shoe leather. $65 bucks in Australia would get a melt in the mouth score 7 or 8 Wagu beef steak. We are staying in the hotel and will be going elsewhere for all our meals.

I love the atmosphere in this Second Bar + Kitchen! The dining room experience is relaxed and vibey, the staff are kind and accommodating. My partner and I have been Keto for a while now, and they are happy to help us pick things that are safe for us. My favorite has been their Ranchero Benedict, with greens instead of a biscuit. Depicted in this picture, is their hot matcha latte without sugar. It’s still delicious! I highly recommend this place.

Amazing drinks and atmosphere, perfect for brunch or an evening cocktail. Their rooftop experience is fantastic. Definitely one on my new favorite places in Austin

Most terrible service I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. I came here for brunch and there was no one at the host stand to seat us, afterward we had to go up to find a staff member to take our order. The food was fine, typical breakfast food and I felt the eggs were good quality. However, our waitress placed our food and immediately left, never asked us if we needed anything. Furthermore, we never got checked on after and I never saw her again. I had to go up to the bar to ask for ketchup, the bartender was the only person at the establishment who was actually doing her job. She was sweet and immediately took care of me, I genuinely felt so bad for her because it seemed she was doing everyone else’s jobs that day. Every other staff member was terrible. When I tried to pay my check, I had to go up to someone to just to be able to pay, even after making eye contact. Absolutely ridiculous. Later, I called the restaurant and asked if I left my card there and I was put on hold for over twenty minutes until I finally decided to hang up and just cancel my card. This was the worst experience I’ve had with staff in Austin.

Really enjoyed our first visit to this bar/restaurant on Saturday night. We reserved a table online which was very easy to do. Lovely chilled atmosphere, no fussing from the staff they were so helpful and friendly but let us enjoy our evening. Good views from the rooftop area and a relaxed simple menu to enjoy. Food was very nice, and decent value considering you’re eating with a view, downtown in Austin. Parking validation is offered too so you’re not out of pocket for parking.

An excellent find for us, check out the menu before you go as I can imagine some may find it slightly limited – we did not.

Spent a few nights at the East Austin hotel and went to their restaurant for breakfast.
Great experience: great tacos, great tacos and an exceptional food and beverage manager, Rebecca. The healthy juice was amazing. She cares for people and is passionate about her job. A really great experience.
