Vaqueros feels cozy and had an authentic charm. It was pretty busy when we arrived, it took a while to be greeted and seated. The menu is quite lengthy so it took us a while to read through so I guess it was okay the service was somewhat slow. The chips and salsa came out fresh and pretty quickly. Once I saw Molcajete on the menu, I knew that was it for me. The flavors were good but it definitely didn’t look like the menu photo and was lacking in the amount it was filled, especially for the price, and I don’t think it had any onions or poblanos. We also had the Vaqueros Special but it didn’t come out in one platter, so they brought the rest of the items out separately. I forgot to take a photo of the taquitos as they came out later on another plate, they were flavorful, especially dipping them in the molcajete sauce. The flan was not the typical texture, maybe over cooked and the sopapillas were pretty hard/over cooked. Presentation wasn’t as expected based on the cost. Hopefully it’ll be a bit better experience if we revisit. Was close to two stars but the flavors of the molcajete sauce bumped it to three for me.

Wow! Excellent is every way! Service, Atmosphere, Food. The salsas were all fresh and flavorful. My husband said the fish he ordered reminded him of Veracruz. My burrito was outstanding. You will not be disappointed. Come support this wonderful establishment.

Great drinks, nice spicy salsa. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Food came out very fast and was absolutely delicious. Meny is very large and the offer genuine Mexican dishes that you usually don’t find easily.

What a great place for dates, families, large groups. Great happy hour. They have a bar side with tons of TVs. Great for watching sports. Excellent addition to west Vail!

The service was terrible one of my kids with a peanut allergy ordered and told the waiter she had a allergy and told her that there were none in the item she ordered the food came and she had a terrible reaction and had to be sent to the hospital and when we told the staff they said it was are fault and kicked us out of the restaurant saying they needed room for more people to come in while we were in the middle of are meal. This was after waiting 45 mins for are drinks and talking to a waiter who spoke no English and did not get us what we ordered a place I would strongly recommend to stay away from.
