Only the trained vegan eye can understand just HOW delicious these vegan enchiladas from the hot food bar are. SO good! I’m glad I got an EXTRA LARGE container and took a third of what they made. MUAHAHHA! There is butternut squash and cauliflower in it. Someone in the kitchen is made of love and makes love. Pure, sweet, holy, LOOOVE.

Croissants were great. Their freshly made veggie burger was delicious. Breakfast burrito and the filo pastry was great. Convenient for breakfast and better to pick up lunch if headed to Hana.

We had two different acai bowls and a gluten free cupcake. All were amazing! The natural food store and hot food bar also looked great. Very large for the small town of Paia. Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. But also high quality meats.

Love the take-out food bar inside Mana Foods! A little pricey like everything else on Maui, but a little treat for this local girl once in awhile is well deserved! I had the chicken soup; with fresh chicken, yummy broth, and veggies. I also ordered a side of jasmine rice and mixed it together with the soup. I am still thinking about it! Then I drove to the back side of Kanaha, and watched the waves roll in! I love Maui!

The selection at Maka is pretty extensive from Kombucha teas to deserts! Even if you’re not vegan this place would be worth stepping out of your comfort zone to try out. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. I left very full and felt super nurished. Stop by and check out their menu or better yet, pop in early and try a refreshing tea while escaping the mid days’ heat while you look over their selection of fresh farm to table fare. 🙂 Aloha!

It was a 5 star plant based restaurant in 2015´+ 2016. But now in 2017 it has changed into a max 3 star deli.
Sadly the great raw chef Shannon left the restaurant and the restaurant needed to close. Now the owner try to continue with a to go deli. The food is far away from the quality before.

Damn this is some amazing food! I traveled up from Wailea nearly every day to eat breakfast or lunch at Maka. It was truly amazing. The juices, super cool and super friendly staff were perfectly paired with the delicious food. I’m not a vegan but this place had so much good food that it was a great alternative to the other offerings on the island.
