Bateaux’s is an hybrid between a gas station, fishing store, and homely restaurant, all accentuated by a great staff and bucolic lakeside location.
The location itself merits stopping by and enjoying the view, perhaps taking a picture or three. The food itself is good, but the kindness and attentiveness of the servers and cooks that goes above and beyond makes it a wonderful place to visit.
I ordered the Hwy 8 burger, which turned to be an amazing burger, and the staff was accommodating even if it wasn’t the usual lunch time. And what a good burger that was!
Yeah, definitely stop by if you’re by the area.

Wow this place is delicious. Home-made dressings, and chicken fingers. They even have gumbo! You name it they have a great selection. I got grilled catfish fillets, and teriyaki brussel sprouts in this picture. It was amazing. Karen, Ester, and John are the friendliest staff. I love seeing their faces when I go to Bateaux’s!

A fun place to stop for a quick bite and to enjoy the fishing activity on the water. The kids were entertained.

Service was poor. We had to get up and get our own refills because our waitress didn’t check on us. The fried foods were definitely overcooked and the food wasn’t great. Really hoped for more out of this place. Don’t anticipate going back anytime soon.
