Had a surreal experience at Bartons. A coworker recommended it for the strong drinks and good food.
Went with a friend at 5p; it was super slow which should have tipped us off. No decent food places are empty at that intersection at dinner time.
We were ignored by the server and bartender for about ten minutes before we left as they served and acknowledged people at tables around us.
Elderly folks at the bar said, “bye kids” as we walked out the door.

This pub has consistently been a go-to spot for my wife and I every time we visit this part of Indianapolis. I’ve really enjoyed the burgers, fish & chips, and wings. My wife’s favorite are the wings and salad. Just a nice friendly spot to drop in and check out.

Can’t say how the food or drinks were, walked in and sat for a solid 7 to 10 minutes being completely ignored. We weren’t acknowledged when we walked in at all, so found a table. Place was empty except for the bar and one table. Wanted to be patient but when it became readily apparent we were not going to get waited on, got up to leave. Once we opened the door to leave, one of the drunk patrons yells out “bye kids”. No clue what the heck is going on in that place. Do not recommend.

This place has been a hidden gem for a long time. I almost regret leaving a review but the food is good and cheap, the drinks are strong and cheap, the staff is super nice, and I love the atmosphere. Just a good old fashioned Irish pub/bar that seems to be hard to find anymore

Fun place if there is an event going on. The place is just understaffed to be frank. There was one bartender and one server. The food took while to come out and the jalapeño poppers i got would all explode with hot grease when bit into. The flavor was good though even though they were clearly frozen. Needs more staff for quicker service. But a good place to go do trivia at.

The food is basic bar food, but it’s always enjoyable. All the service staff are always friendly and welcoming. The place is clean, and the vibes are generally good, and that’s more than enough for me. I go here pretty regularly.
