Had a breakfast date with my hubby recently. We finally got to fulfill our anticipation and tried out Kels Family Restaurant. The recommendations are on point for this place and we both agreed we needed to do a whole family visit soon.
The menu had oodles of options: hubby chose a Western and I had the Double Down (at the server’s suggestion because I wanted bacon and sausage; this was the better deal). Everything was amazing – hot, fresh, cooked perfectly and ready quickly! The home fries are DELICIOUS!!! We loved the personalities of the staff and the way they treated us like long-lost friends; super cozy and playful vibes! Hubby practically licked his plate clean and, as promised, I had lots leftover to enjoy tomorrow morning.
Do yourself a favour and enjoy a breaky at this place as soon as you can!

10:30 am on a Saturday. Party of 6. Parking is a bit tight. We did have to wait for a table to get cleaned, to accommodate all of us. Server was very nice and she was funny too. Coffee order taken right away seemed promising but took too long to get. Orders were brought in by a younger girl who couldn’t manage a smile. Food was great. Portions were great. Coffee refills were great. Prices were a bit high for my liking. All in all very good and we will likely go back

I stopped in for breakfast over the Christmas holidays. The service was great.
The food was very reasonably priced for what I received. I almost finished but couldn’t quite conquer the potatoes.
The coffee was decent, and the waitress ensured I was not without.
Very clean establishment. No wonder it has good reviews.
I recommend trying them out for your breakfast.

Went to Kel’s for breakfast. It was the first time and we will be back. I had the Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast. Actual cheesecake layered in-between the French toast. The strawberry sauce is homemade. So delicious!
My boyfriend had the Eggs Benny with sausage. It was so yummy too. Great service and fast. A great place to go for sure.❤

How have I not been here before now? Well I have been now. And I will be back in the future…Many, many times.
From the outside perhaps it doesn’t look like much. But on the inside, it absolutely screams breakfast diner.
And the service is top notch. I love these folks. Then you get to the food. Wow! Omelette’ and Benny’s that taste fantastic. The quality of the food is perfect. The amount of quality food is huge.
For breakfast this is our new go to spot in Brantford. Absolutely amazing service and delicious food.
And being Sunday morning now, you know where we will be going shortly. See you there soon I’m sure.

Kel’s Family Restaurant is our go-to in Brantford. Classic diner feel, friendly staff, and unbeatable prices. The $6.50 breakfast special (pictured) was hot, tasty, and more than enough to start the day. Coffee never runs low thanks to the attentive service. Always worth the stop!

The food was good and served timely manner. The only negative what the the inside was deplorable! Broken down booths, clock not working, washed out chalk board. Freezing cold inside. And a screaming child. OWNER PLEASE FIX UP THE INSIDE OF YOUR RESTAURANT THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS GREAT

I absolutely love this place! It’s got the “mom and pop” shop feel to it. You seat yourself when you walk in. The staff are always friendly and helpful! They always have the classics but the specials are ever changing and scrumptious! I went with my mom recently, she had a classic breakfast and I tried the eggs benedict on potato croquets! Highly recommend!
