La Mexicana Bakery has really fresh and tasty pan dulce but for a second I thought they were closed because the front door looks like a regular home door and isn’t see-through, but once inside everything was great. The service was friendly and the prices are very reasonable

My wife and I were told about the delicious bread from this bakery owned by a Christian family. After speaking to them, we found out that make barbacoa on Sundays. We bought some last Sunday and today. I highly recommend that you go try the delicious bread and barbacoa. You will not be disappointed.

If I could rate less I would. There was a sign outside that said a 20 minute wait.
A whole hour passed and she never came back.
Customers came and left disappointed.
I understand places have emergency but it’s going to be more than a hour wait, you should close the shop.
I wouldn’t recommend buying from here. Unless you want to wait.

Good place to get sweet bread. Every time I have been there the place is clean. The bread is fresh and prices are really good compared to other places. I you haven’t been here you should go and check this place out. Your sweet tooth will appreciate it.

The cookies are amazing, I just had a small issue a few days ago, I called in and asked if they had biscuits and they said yes but at this time they are out but they will have some made by 5pm ready to pick up. They said the biscuits will be out in 5 minutes so I waited almost 40 minutes for the biscuits to be done. Finally they came out with a fresh batch of biscuits and let me just say fresh hot out of the oven biscuits are worth the wait.

We stopped by this morning before we headed back to Florida. The pan dulce is super affordable! If we ever come back to Harlingen this is the place we would stop by first! They have every pan dulce you can think of. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious bread!!! Very affordable and get this they accept debit cards, I mean who carries cash these days, right. When I visited Harlingen from Dallas one day their debit card machine wasn’t working, the young man had bagged my sweet bread said no problem sir, pay me next time. Wow, I was in Harlingen for a few weeks and so when I returned I told him to charge me the money owed plus my new purchase. Love this place, their generosity and always a smile on their faces!

Just found this hidden jewel. The empanadas are so delicious, even the bread was sweet. It was 4:30pm and they were warm from the oven. New favorite bakery.
