We’ve been so excited to get a local shawerma joint and couldn’t wait to finally try it. It was a huge disappointment. They’re trying to be too many things and it couldn’t be further from Mediterranean. The kofta kebab was nothing more than a hamburger shaped into kofta. It lacked all the Mediterranean spices and flavors. It even lacked salt and pepper. It has no flavor. Same for the rice. The garlic sauce which was supposed to be toomiya was watered down and underwhelming. The chicken shawerma sandwich was equally bland and so so heavy. The pickles were far and few in between, the chicken was underspiced and again overall lacking authentic flavors. Tasted more like curry than shawerma. We even got the banana pudding and that was even more disappointing… it had no bananas and the pudding was vanilla flavored. Very misleading. I don’t take leaving one star reviews lightly but man, this place does not match its photos or flavors. I really hope the owner can turn things around quickly and take this feedback to heart. I want nothing more than to see this place succeed.

I have never been to a worse Middle Eastern restaurant than this one. My daughter and I ordered fried fish, and chicken shawarma. I spent $31 on uncooked chicken and tasteless, too salty and plain fish. It was the worst shawarma I’ve ever had. Food was not fresh and no spices were not added to the dish. As soon as I left the restaurant, I began to feel nauseous and ended up vomiting, which led to food poisoning.

I’ve grabbed lunch from here a few times and it has been an excellent experience each time. I went in today thinking I’d try something new but ended up with my usual order of the chicken shawarma sandwich because it is so good. Also comes with good fries and a drink for the combo. Recommend the mango juice. Customer service has also been incredible each time I’ve visited. I’ve always ordered in store and it takes 5-7 minutes for the meal to be ready. There are some tables and chairs inside to wait or dine in.

PS The spicy chicken shawarma sandwich is Middle Eastern spicy, not Midwest spicy. Highly recommend.

We ordered the shawarma plate, gyro sandwich (w fries), and chicken nuggets meal which was for the toddler. The shawarma and gyro were great. The white sauce (garlic) was standout and also enjoyed the hot sauce. Meats were good. Chicken nuggets were standard as expected but toddler enjoyed. The staff was nice and helpful. Really glad this came to Savage and will become part of our takeout order rotation!

Only good thing is food taste

But
– pretty over priced for some items like those small falafel (5 pieces with $5!!)
– only 1 table to sit
– hot – AC is not functioning well
– annoying tv (always Kazim el saher songs and videos)
– pretty far in the south of twin cities

To the owner

I ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich. Delicious. Well seasoned chicken. The fries were very good. The sauces completed the schwarma nicely.

Very friendly staff. I will be back. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Lately, I’ve disappointed with many food options—prices are rising, portions are shrinking, and quality often suffers, especially with greasy fast food. However, my experience at Enjoy Shawarma was a refreshing change.

The value for money was outstanding. One plate was enough to satisfy both my brother and me—we were full for the entire day. Their hummus, in particular, stood out as one of the best I’ve ever had. It was so impressive that I felt compelled to return in person just to share my appreciation.

Highly recommended!

In a time where finding good shawarma is close to impossible in the Minnesota area, here comes along this shop, only opened 2 months ago and has that authentic taste I’ve been looking for for ages since arriving in the twin cities. A step above the others in terms of authenticity, Palestinian owned, and lovely lovely food. Give it some time and this place will be a must go for all Savage residents and more!
