This is a beware to others because we have been getting take out from Sunhing for years and this last order has made me feel the need to post a review.
We have found that Sunhing has gradually gotten worse.
Times before, we had a 2 liter bottle of soda that had been opened and had no carbonation; spare ribs are usually overcooked; super oily egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken, etc.
But, they are local and convenient and we kept trying them.
Last night: there was a large bug in the white rice. I called to tell them.
The lomein was gross, overcooked, tasteless.
The spare ribs were old and half of it was discolored, it also tasted funky.
The fried chicken wings were OK.
The steamed dumplings tasted strange.
Their price was high for the amount of food and I truly felt it was just not worth it.

I don’t ever feel the need to leave one star reviews and have never called the county health inspector before but I’m doing both after visiting here. The Steak Kew tasted like the meat had turned and was weeks old. Both my wife and I got terrible food poisoning. This was our first time trying here & the restaurant was dirty and unkept, if I hadn’t ordered on the phone, I would have walked out, now I wish I had. -1/10

First and only time ordering food from here. My husband and I ordered General Tsos chicken, some chefs special beef, white rice, eggdrop soup, crab rangoons, and an eggroll. The restaurant forgot our eggroll and after a couple bites of the beef and chicken, our stomachs started to turn. The meat tasted really old and the food tasted almost sour. As my husband puked his guts out, i went back to the restaurant to try and return the food for a refund. I showed them the bag of unfinished food and explained that we couldnt finish because it didnt taste right and it made us sick but no refund was issued. Thankfully it wasnt terribly expensive so ill just take the L but still really disappointed. BEWARE OF THE CHEAP FOOD

I have bought food from here a few times as I work close by. The food is sometimes good and sometimes not so good. I guess it depends on the chef’s working. The last time I got salmon rolls, the rice in the rolls were hard because it was undercooked and it was absolutely gross. I’ll give it another go but depending on my next 1 or 2 orders will decide if I will be buying here anymore.

Why was the sauce for my sesame chicken bright red? I ordered takeout and I thought they got my order wrong or something. It’s supposed to be brown and it didn’t taste how sesame chicken sauce is supposed to. Definitely won’t be coming back because thats my favorite item and I don’t like the way they make it.

When I first moved to this area, Sunhing was the best Chinese takeout around and we ordered several times a month. However, two owners later, this has turned into the worst Chinese I have ever had. Not just in Chester but anywhere. Worst. Food. Ever.
Tonight we ordered noodles, ribs, chicken and chowmein and each was so bad that I ended up spitting out my second bite.
For the first time ever, I bagged up all the food and drove to the restaurant and asked for a refund which, to their credit, they gave me but when I got home I promptly threw away any takeout menus.

So I’ve seen some terrible reviews and I just don’t get it. They are super polite (including the children) and the place is clean. They offer a whole menu on sushi too! I don’t order the same thing since I really love Americanized Asian food but I really dig their sushi options. I started to order the sushi burritos and I’m so happy with it. Try it all! Chicken wings, spring rolls (loooove), combination platters.. I’m saying though… I really love sun hing. Go for it. You won’t be disappointed. Also, if the language barrier bothers you then you’re at the wrong place. Order, smile, say thank you, pay and say bye. That’s it. That is professional from them and appreciation from you. Also remember this is chinese/japanese. You don’t find Asian restaurants like this one much.

There ok I got take out 3 times so far they are quite the lady that takes order is nice food takes a while so I assume it’s made fresh. I pay Double the price here then I did back in queens. Just moved here a month ago
