Our first time up to Tahoe and wanted something cute and lakeside. Wine was good and food was good. We loved the pizza with apples and balsamic glaze. Can’t remember the name! Service was friendly as well. They even provide blankets if you’re sitting on the deck. Great experience.

Idle Hour completely blew me away. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. We were lucky enough to get there just before sunset, and I’m so glad we did. The skies turned the most stunning shade of pink over the lake. Watching the sun dip behind the mountains while the water glowed was absolutely breathtaking. The views of Lake Tahoe here are truly unmatched; it’s easily one of the best places to take in the scenery while enjoying a fantastic meal.
Our server, Notanee, was incredible: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They knew the menu inside and out and made us feel taken care of from start to finish. We also had the pleasure of meeting Sam, the manager, who checked in on us and made sure everything was perfect. The level of hospitality here is on another level.
And the food? Amazing. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented.
If you’re visiting Lake Tahoe, Idle Hour is an absolute must. Whether you’re coming for the food or drinks, or the jaw-dropping views, especially at sunset, you’ll leave already wanting to come back. Highly, highly recommend.

Really good place! So delicious food especially bruschetta and grouches, amazing big set with 8 vines . I liked Californian – so good. It’s my first time in California. I was in LA and Sequoia park, Yosemite and this place had the best food. Really good for American hospitality! I know what I am saying, I work there too but in Dubai .
So you really have to visit this place . And don’t be sad if you will not be there during sunset. After sunset it’s much better ( for me) . So 7:30 and later – cool time. Fast and friendly service.

One of my favorite places in Tahoe! Beautiful lake views at all times and when it gets cold they have blankets. Very nice people and they have a locals discount. The appetizers are delicious and I love the flatbreads, bruschetta and pesto burrata dip. Soups are good too. Wine is good and they have flights!

We enjoyed wine flights and appetizers while sitting out on the lakeside deck. Great selection of wines and flight combinations. And everything on the appetizer list sounded delicious. The two we chose did not disappoint. So good!

This is an amazing spot for sunset! Great views of the lake and you can order food and drinks. Depending on the weather it can get fairly hot sitting out on the upstairs patio, but you’re here for the views. The wine flights were okay. Definitely come for the views and the food looked good. There are definitely bugs, so use insect repellent if you’re susceptible to bug bites. Would definitely return again!
