Southbound Bar and Grill, I salute you, and I thank for providing a stage for American Aquarium to exercise their craft this past Saturday night. They rocked the place loud and hard. They played a fantastic set, and the crowd, obviously very faithful followers, ate it up. I have attended shows at various venues in Springfield, but I have never seen anything like the rock and roll show American Aquarium put on at Southbound Bar and Grill. I drove 365 miles from Fremont, NE to see the show, and I would do it again, so please bring them back soon. Your club is easy to find, offers free and easy parking, great food and generos pours on drinks with drink prices that are in line with other venues in Springfield, and a staff that provides excellent service at every level. I highly recommend the Southbound Bar and Grill. They are a great live music venue.

This was a really nice find! We went for happy hour, which they had specials on apps and 30% off wings this particular day. The wings were huge and very well prepared! The onion rings though, BEST IN SWMO! They were amazing! Drafts were half off for happy hour too, but slim selection.

The wings were by far some of the freshest and best tasting wings I’ve had in my life. Maybe it’s just because I’ve been living in the Northern part of the Midwest most of my life, but dang they were good (they were the garlic parm in case you were wondering). The gypsy hooker shots were great too for pickle lovers.

The food was surprisingly delicious. I mesn, really good! We’ve seen so many comments and planned events on fb, finally went on a Tues mid day. Almost didn’t go in cuz the front was not welcoming. It was soo dark we couldn’t read the menu. It wasn’t the cleanest of places. Our server was nice. Bathrooms were not great. I wouldn’t feel safe as a lone female at night or when crowded using it. I would go back during a workday with friends. Really, for the food!

My husband and I had a fantastic time at South Bound Bar and Grill! We thoroughly enjoyed the band, The Relentless Few, who put on an amazing show. The dancing and food were great, and we appreciated that the band reminded everyone to treat the staff and bartenders well. We’ll definitely be back!
