Such a great deal! We went with Caesar which was fresh and delicious. For pizza we choose the dilly dilly pickle pizza which we enjoyed. My husband also got the house burger with fries. We split our meals and left with takeout boxes because portions were large.
Would recommend for lunch (if you have a hour or so)
Atmosphere patio is nice both shaded and sunlit seating. Inside is a bit darker.
For the record, the cocktail program at these restaurants is pretty solid.
Tartufo- woodfired za on a house dough that takes about 3 days to form. Wild mushrooms, whole roasted garlic cloves, mozzarella, fried sage, and truffle honey. I could have done without the truffle honey but outside of that this pizza fired on all cylinders. The mushrooms and roasted garlic cloves were an absolute party. You just have to try it for yourself. I’ll get it again no question. This is far and away the best food item I’ve had at any Misfit Hospitality concept and one of the better pizzas I’ve had all year.
Charred broccolini and cauliflower- just above mid. It was served with both cashew butter and a tamarind glaze. The broccolini was a touch undercooked for my liking and the sauces competed against each other. I would like to see this dish simplified.
Fried Burrata- Pro Tip, get a side of toast. Light crust and cheese melts into the marinara which is a tough sweet. You’ll devour the cheese and breading and be left with a decent amount of sauce. Enter fire toasted ciabata with butter. Sauce mop away. That bowl was completely clean when it left the table.
Wings- Chile crisp and green onion. The cook was solidly executed as the meat had very nice outside crust and juicy tender steamy meat inside. This particular flavor lacked full depth. It was just surface taste and heat with no mid tones to carry it. Next time I’ll try a different flavor.
They’re going through some changes right now so I fully believe they’ll eventually hit their full stride taste wise in a few months. Service was great and I have no major nor moderate complaints against this spot. Server forgot our wing order but took full accountability for it. I’m excited to watch it continue to evolve.
Their pizza was stupid phenomenal and I really want to try the Porky Fig next time.
Even though the broccolini and wings were underwhelming it was still a great experience due to the pizza and the side of toast for sauce mopping the marinara. If you haven’t been it’s definitely worth a try. I would move it towards the top of your “To try” list.
What we liked: Burrata was great! Flavors of pizza we tried were really good.
What needs improvement: Pizza needs to be cooked a bit more on top. Swoosh plate was lacking and was way to expensive for what was provided (broken up piece of flat bread and scoop of jam and a some unknown “swooshes”. There is was no protein or cheese as indicated on menu.
However, the most disappointing aspect was the food. The dishes lacked flavor and freshness, with some items even arriving at our table cold. Despite the restaurant’s promising menu, the execution fell flat, leaving a lot to be desired in terms of taste and presentation.
Lots of tasty Mezcals and types of tequilas I never knew existed.
Had some chips and salsa along with an insanely flavorful taco.
Everything came out with a great presentation, very impressive.
The Bartender was on top of their game, with extensive knowledge to help us choose what to order next.
I Highly recommend checking this place out with some good friends.
We started with the Shrimp Ceviche. The serving portion was ideal for two and the accompany chips are superb. It’s made with Argentine Red Shrimp and a citrus blend that we both liked. It was very fresh, which is key to me when eating Mexican food.
I had The Calzron Mimosa, which is nice a fruity with blood orange, passion fruit, and pomegranate flavors coming through. The Bloody Mary was rimmed with a tasty accompanying salt and how two extra-large olives. The Wood Fired Caesar Salad was also excellent. They make their own cheese croutons. It wasn’t sure how I’d like my baby Romaine grilled as I’m used to it super cold and crunchy, but it was great. The egg on top and parmesan cheese were tasty as well. I plan to return and order it again.
When we asked to get the check, it came in just a few minutes.
In my opinion, at this time, this is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the area and at this price range. The service was incredible; even the bar manager stepped out to ask how we liked our beverages. The staff seems pleased to be open and excited about this new venue.
Parking is certainly no issue. The location is easy to get to.
