Delightful, warm and comfortable place to enjoy a cocktail and small plates!!
The bartenders are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. We have enjoyed spending time here on a Thursday evening and a Saturday afternoon. Both visits we experienced fantastic service, delicious food and perfect drinks. We look forward to future visits and bringing out of town guests!

What an incredible discovery! Our server, Carolyn, was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu was creative! The charcuterie boards were delicious, and a group of four were able to be shared. We will be bringing guests from out of the country during Christmas. This is the perfect MS experience!

It’s easy enough to review the places you encounter on your day-to-day journey. It’s entirely another story to review a place that you stumble upon. The Briar Patch is that kind of gem. It all started with my husband‘s miscalendar of his haircut appointment. It left us scrambling for another place on a Friday at 5 PM. He was happily ensconced in a chair at the Noble Barber as I meandered next door to the briar patch. My sole goal was to find a single cocktail to pass the humid afternoon of the south. What I found was the “sparkling flight” of champagne-based cocktails. It, of course, included the ever-faithful French 75.
Trust me; this is your go-to selection. The husband had his Crown and Water and was pleased with the cocktail’s strength. The mixologists know what they are doing here. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. Now this is a tapas restaurant so of course, I already love the portions. We started with a small size cheese and meat charcuterie board. Honestly, it was OK. We followed this up with the barbecue charcuterie board. Please take my advice, and avoid this one altogether. The brisket was scant and covered by way too much sauce, which wasn’t that great of a sauce. And to top things off, they added a side portion of said sauce. Now I will tell you that the hidden gem of the barbecue charcuterie board is the potato salad. It is a potato salad commonly available in other restaurants, but they add a delicious topping of dill, which makes you forget your promise to forgo eating potatoes altogether. The next step was the salmon flatbread. The secret ingredient of this is the whipped feta. If you don’t know what feta is, Google it. It will change your life. Whether you think you like salmon and feta or not, give it a try. I made a mistake by topping my meal off with a peach Bellini. Very few places make a great peach Bellini, and unfortunately, this is not one of them. I guess this reinforces the adage, “Stop while you’re ahead.“ All of that said, the atmosphere was amazing. It is such a quaint little place. You do, of course, have to make transportation arrangements if you plan to enjoy too many sparkling flights or any of the other great cocktails, but it’s worth it. I highly recommend the Briar Patch. Our waitress was Chloe, and we had an extra special atmosphere with Big Mike.
Great for date night.

The atmosphere is soo chill here. Everyone is comfortable and the air is light. I wasn’t ready for a place like this. The Owner/employees know what they have here and are very inviting. The charcuterie boards are amazing and the drinks are on point. Even when it got busy, it wasn’t loud and crazy

Great place to go for craft drinks! Can be packed so reservations are recommended but they have outdoor seating as well. Also have good shareable plates.

Such a cute, fun place. We have come here a few times and enjoyed it each time. The bartender and staff are so nice and the food is outstanding!! The salmon dip & pimento cheese dips are our favorite. The live music is great!
We will be back.

great atmosphere, but service was terrible. our waitress just ended up sitting at the bar and rarely coming to check on us. another waitress had to come check on us regularly. food is not bad, but it’s definitely not great. eat somewhere else and just get drinks here. also sit at the bar, so you don’t have to rely on a waitress.

Excellent fun place to spend some time (and have a drink)! Get the High Life High Five! $5 gets you a beer and either chicken salad or pimento cheese and ritz crackers. Can’t beat that!
