Not a bad spot for barbecue, but a little bit on the dry side, the sauce is really flavorful and the service is good. This place is more of a local bar than a restaurant though, but there are 2 sides in case you don’t want to do the bar scene.

Descent BBQ spot. I had the brisket and beef ribs. Ribs were a little dry and the beef ribs wasn’t favorable. The people are nice and service was good. This place has a eating side and a bar side. You can take your food to the bar side and enjoy drinks. I saw reviews about Claudia being drunk serving but she is actually super nice and personally took care of us. She did take shots with us and it was early so I see the other peopes point. Go for the bar not so much BBQ….there are better locations. But liquor and beer with BBQ works too. Lol

We ordered the brisket sandwiches and the brisket was so tough, dry and burnt! The BBQ sauce had no tang and didnt really taste like much. The sides were terrible. The potato salad was sweet and lacked salt or tang. The corn on the cob was over cooked. 2 of ate for 41 bucks and it wasn’t worth it. Don’t waste your money. This place used to be so good but we’ll never go back.

Heard there were new owners, so I thought we would try it out. I’m glad we did! I was craving Beef Ribs, and the last place I went to in Anthony only serves them on the weekends. Luckily Smokey’s has them all the time and they are big and delicious (see picture). My wife ordered the loaded fries and man those were ridiculously good (also see picture). To top it off, all that food at around $22! What a deal. Go get the beef ribs, you won’t be disappointed!

We wanted some good BBQ. Can’t stay it was good. The brisket choice was only the dry lean, the beans not much flavor, the turkey was slimy, tasted more like lunch meat. Service was slow for a Thursday evening.
The bar side was dark, greeted by Claudia she was very nice and friendly. She made an awesome tasting shot her own creation!

It’s really a “stop”, grab a bite then go.

Upon entering Smokey’s Pit Stop, suddenly realize that it’s a joint type of place, you might feel like going somewhere else.

But suggest that you order their beef ribs and chilli beans, with stiring their homemade BBQ sauce (hot from pot when serving) into it, you will believe that it worth of your 30 mins.

This used to be a hidden place for tasty BBQ that was reasonable. Been here 4 times in last couple of months. Quality has gone done with each visit, but prices went up. Beef ribs are all bone.
UPDATE. Went 3 times this month and the quality is just lost. Got the usual beef ribs plate. With Mac n an ounce of beans, $14.50 plus tax. Got the dried out bones each time. Friend told me about a Moose place on Hawkins that is $4 a rib and huge. I went and they have replaced Smokey’s. $8 for two huge ribs. $2.50 for the beer. Everyday. Pics attached to compare.

This location off viscount was pretty good. We went because we were craving barbecue. My family and I ate the brisket., turkey., beans and potato salad. The corn also was pretty good., soft and warm. Beans were a bit spicy for the kids, but they loved the turkey and brisket. Fountain drinks so we got refills. Overall, good barbecue place., not busy at all so we had plenty of room with a tv. We look forward to coming back.
