Food was cold and asked the lady at front desk If they had coke zero at drive through and she got loud and rude with us, as well as hear her bad mouthing her co-worker. Floors and tables were nasty with crumbs and stuff on them. Do not recommend this establishment at all

So apparently DoorDash takes priority over dine in orders that are sitting on the counter ready to be put on a tray and given to the customer who is dining in the store. Our order sat for 10 minutes while the lady focused all her attention on the DoorDash bc the dasher was already there, walked in after we got our drinks. Um, what? Then the lady who took our order and bagged the DoorDash got an attitude bc we were upset our order sat there for so long. Needless to say, our food was cold and poorly assembled. Falling apart and dripping sauces everywhere. Don’t come here during night shift I guess. Yikes.

Short staffed. One person in the drive thru waiting to order his food in front of me and I am not sure how long he was waiting before I pulled up. But I waited behind him for at least 30 minutes and then he got irritated and left. I pulled up they took my order within no time and apologizing more than once at the speaker waited in-line probably another 20 minutes. When I got to the window she was so apologetic and very sweet. Only 2 people working In the whole restaurant. Which is just awful because it just made hard them 2 people.

The person that took my order was friendly and knowledgeable, the woman that handed me my food couldn’t have been more rude. She didn’t offer a thank you or anything when handing my food out as she did the guests in front of and behind me (I can only assume she’s mad because I asked for fresh fries when I placed my order ). The dirty ketchup dispenser in the lobby was completely empty and when I went to the counter for ketchup she didn’t acknowledge me for several moments then turned around and placed 3 ketchup packets on the counter. The Double Whopper Jr I ordered was sloppily assembled with more ingredients in the paper than on the sandwich.

I go here 90% of the time in the afternoon and have nothing but pleasant experiences with very nice workers, at around 9am this Wednesday I had a lady with a tattoo on her face, neck, and arms be very rude. I didn’t catch her name, but she was VERY rude and dismissive. Throwing her arms up and shaking her head because I was supposed to tell her something that usually the other employees just ask first. Watched her behind the counter be very unclean and tossed my bag of food on the counter and said my name and walked off. People like her make these places hard to want to go to

Burger King – Grace at the Drive-Thru
Chelsa Drive, Madisonville, KY

Every time I visit this Burger King, I’m greeted with “Drive forward, Ms. Martha ”—a simple phrase that carries warmth and familiarity. The staff knows my order, and they know me. That kind of connection is rare in fast food, and it’s worth celebrating.

Nikki, who became manager last year or so, brings a lifetime of experience and a heart for service. She listens, leads, and often works the drive-thru herself with the same kindness and attentiveness that define her team. Nick, always steady and thoughtful, contributes that same calm spirit—working hard and treating customers with quiet kindness. The food is consistently hot and fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere feels more like a neighbor’s kitchen than a corporate chain.

On a recent visit, I was glad to see Nate had returned after being away for about a month or so. His calm spirit and steady presence at the drive-thru bring a sense of ease, especially during the busiest moments. Even when the line grows long, Nate moves with quiet confidence—and somehow, the wait feels shorter. It’s a testament to the kind of presence that can make a fast-food stop feel like a sanctuary.

I’ve seen negative comments online, but I believe in grace. As Ephesians 4:32 reminds us:
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

We never know what someone’s carrying that day. So instead of tearing down, let’s build up. If there’s an issue, speak kindly and directly. Words matter—especially the ones we choose to share publicly. What we say online can ripple far beyond the screen—into kitchens, cars, and quiet hearts. If we can offer warmth in person, we can do the same with our words. Fast food might be quick, but grace is never rushed.

Porch Light Reflection:
Sometimes the brightest lights aren’t on porches—they’re in drive-thru windows, held by people who remember your name and serve with a smile. Let’s be the kind of light that reflects grace, even in the small moments.

Thank you, Burger King team, for being a steady flame in Madisonville. You matter. ❤️

Warmly,
Martha

I went to the drive thru so I can’t speak on the atmosphere inside dining area. But lady at window was friendly. Food was good. But I asked for ketchup for my fries and when I looked in bag there was none.
