Mann Meats is a Family owned and operated BBQ themed business, operating both a food truck and brick and mortar carry-out. We say BBQ themed, because we don’t sauce anything. Everything is slow cooked, seasoned and smoked to perfection. Sauce is always available on the side though. We specialize in high quality, cooked fresh daily, BBQ/smoked items. We only prep and cook so much per day, so when we sell out, we are out. Currently, the Food truck is operating almost daily (weather pending), and the carry out restaurant is open Wednesday – Saturday, 11am-7pm or sell out.

Hands down the best pork steaks and hand crafted grilled brats I’ve had anywhere in town.
This is one of those places you might not know about yet, but once you find it you won’t forget where it is. Youll be telling your friend and family about it for sure.
I think the group of carnivores I work with may have a new favorite bbq place!
I called shortly before they opened to ask a couple of questions. I liked the answers (especially about their brats) and made the suggestion. Fortunately for us, the decision was to go to Mann Meats for lunch today.
One of the first things you notice upon arrival is the large number of pickup trucks outside. We showed up in a Dodge Ram Crew Cab so we fit right in even though there was a larger Ford in one of the spots. Thankfully, their parking spaces are larger than you would find at some place populated by the Prius-driving crowd. This is a hole-in-the-wall in a working-class area and those can be some of the very best places.
I was able to sell a co-worker on splitting both a brat and a pork steak. I was also able to pawn off about a third of my portion of pork steak on two other co-workers so I wound up with a much more manageable size lunch. Note…skip the beans and get something else instead. These folks are so busy that they don’t make their beans from scratch. I would be willing to bet that changes as they get acclimated to their brick-and-mortar space.
Big trucks and big food seem to go together. Big flavor was an added bonus.
My first comment on the pork steak is that it is listed on the menu as a fork steak. All it takes is a fork to eat and that may even be overkill. “Tender” actually understates how to describe this dish. Full of flavor and plenty of smokiness also.
As good as that pork steak was, my mind was completely blown by the brat. They make them in-house which means they grind all of their own meat and stuff their own casings. These things are huge and amazingly flavorful. As good as the brat was, it’s possible the addition of a little bit of mozzarella inside the sausage made it even better.
Again: big flavors, big food, big success.
By the way…congrats to these folks for being named the #1 food truck in St Louis for 2019!
The brat. THE MOTHERLUVIN BRAT. I don’t have words, I always have words but for this I have no words. No description will do it justice. You don’t need sauce. You don’t need anything… Just that perfect juicy balanced brat, on that perfectly soft luxurious potato bun. Don’t bother getting one just get two off the bat, trust me.
That’s it. No flowery words just me telling you that I am truly happy and this food just gained me a whole new family, because I straight up adopted Holly is my sister and Miranda is my niece. It’s what good food does, bring families together.
