Came here for dinner while in town for spring training baseball. We were looking for a good Mexican food restaurant and this fit the bill. We got fajitas for two and they were great – definitely flavorful. Not many customers when we went and not many staff but wait times were reasonable. Can certainly recommend.

This was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had dining out. Took the waitress 30 minutes to even come and greet the table. She just brought waters and then walked away. Chips and salsa were good tho! Took another 20 minutes for her to come take our drink orders. 5 margaritas ordered and one mojito. The mojito genuinely came out with a full lime in it (I’ve attached photos because I was genuinely distraught lol). One margarita came out completely wrong flavor, rim, and was frozen (was supposed to be on the rocks). One of the margs was raspberry flavored with (half) muddled raspberries that took up 3/4 of the cup. It was impossible to even drink it through a straw— it was lowkey like a puree or baby food (I’ve also attached a photo of this). When we ordered drinks we went ahead and ordered food since it took so long to be greeted. Was told that the kitchen/food may have a wait (there was what seemed like a party on the roof so completely acceptable). When the food finally came out, it was very good— shoutout to kitchen staff!!!

This restaurant adds a 20% gratuity service to all checks no matter the size of the party— which was utterly insane as the waitress had horrible service. She came to the table maybe 4 times in the time period of 2 hours. I don’t know if the waitress was simply not trying because she knows she would get automatic gratuity or if they had to implement this policy because of such horrible service.

NEW BREAKFAST MENU WAS DELICIOUS!
We normally come for dinner but wanted to try the new breakfast menu. The breakfast cinnamon chips and salsa were a unique phenomenal start. We had the Chimichanga and Fajitas – both came with breakfast fries. Order a side of chipotle aioli on the side. We walked away with leftovers for dinner and looking forward to our return!

Came here for our work Christmas party on December 17, and we had a blast!! Our girl, Sydney, went all out to make sure we had the absolute best night! The whole vibe is amazing, swings at all the booths, cute couches with photo walls….we WILL be coming back!!

We recently dined at Senor Rita’s in Downtown Dunedin and was truly impressed by the quality of the food. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The food was definitely the highlight of the experience.

Unfortunately, we were not impressed by the service. Our waitress was not very attentive, and it took quite a while to get basic requests fulfilled.

Adding an automatic gratuity to the bill, is fine but please provide better service. I felt like the waitress did not care as much about service as she already knew gratuity was included and it didn’t matter how good or bad her service was.

Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re focused on enjoying delicious food, but don’t expect top-tier service. A little more attention to customer care would take this place to the next level.

Let me just start by saying there is a 20% gratuity added to every single check no matter if you’re one person or not. I am a waitress and I think that it’s great that 20% is automatically included. However, it seems like The waitresses are extremely cocky and don’t care about giving service at all. .Came in at 9pm 11/18 to celebrate my 22nd birthday. Group of 8. We were greeted by Brandon who took our drink order and he said Sydney or Brittany will be taking care of us. If only Brandon could’ve been our server the whole time. He seemed like he was cooking in the back while also having to run the food and get us refills and make this a better experience. The waitress Forgot about my moms food. Not only that we specifically told her if she is a vegetarian and dairy free and so when her food came out 30 minutes after everyone else’s, it was covered in cheese. She would bring one plate out and another plate would come out maybe seven minutes later. It just seems like no one cared about giving good service, knowing that they were getting tipped regardless. The one person who stuck out to me was Brandon. He would ask us questions. He would ask if we needed anything all in the meanwhile, jumping in between of all the things he’s doing. At one point, the waitress sydney or Brittany didn’t come by for over 20 minutes. I finally got to order a drink and it was so disgusting. It was $17 and it was supposed to be a cinnamon apple sangria. The food was delicious. We all got the 2 Dollar Street tacos and we probably ordered about 30 of them. I would go back but probably on a time when they’re busy And willing to give good service. She did the absolute bare minimum. We were there for over an hour and all of us maybe got 2 refills. Brandon was great with what he was able to help with.

Unfortunately my wife and I have seen a significant decline in the quality of food and service which we most recently experienced last night.
We were planning on having dinner and drinks at the upstairs bar, which was met with a staff who didn’t have any interest in serving customers without rolling their eyes or making comments under their breath. I fully understand Dunedin is in season, but that is no excuse to openly display disgust when serving guests. While everyone is in control of their own actions, I also blame management as the bartender didn’t have any assistance from a bar back.
Secondly, we ordered the queso with beef (as we have in the past)- which was horrible. The amount of grease in the bowl turned the cheese into a runny soup, inedible to say the least.

Changes need to be made.

Senor Rita’s is the go to for the BEST Drinks! The Margaritas are AMAZING – and the staff makes the fruit syrups by hand everyday! Sydney is amazing at the bar and makes gorgeous frozen drinks . The tacos are tasty and it’s one of the only restaurants open late on weekends. Definitely a go to for a good time.

Went with a couple of friends for a double date with high hopes because we have heard good things about this restaurant. Waitress cleaned a table for us and we were sitting for 15 minutes or so before we had water or drinks. We waited another 20 minutes for her to come back so we could order our food. They were out of almost half of their menu, food and drinks, and the excuse was that they were “really busy all day.” The item I ordered also had to be swapped out for something else because they were out of that too. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that only had white rice, and it was not seasoned at all. The tacos themselves were good, but very overpriced for what we got. They were also out of Pico but didn’t tell us until the food came out. They put corn tortillas on my husband’s tacos without asking him because they “ran out of flour tortillas” and the waitress panicked because she was worried there was an allergy, which they should have asked him before they just subbed out the tortillas. However they did remove the item from the bill which was the least they could do. Overall, very disappointing and overhyped, I don’t think we will come back here. The wait staff was nice but I don’t know why they were out of half of their menu including flour tortillas.
