The steak I ordered seemed boiled instead of grilled. I returned my steak for a different cut and it just didn’t taste right. Our dinners came out in pieces instead of all together.. soft drinks were lukewarm with a couple of cubes of ice; there was nothing unique or incredible about the dishes or the way they tasted; definitely overpriced. Definitely would not recommend. Order out some Chinese takeout and save yourself the heartache and money.

Best lunch special during the week, my favorite is the churrasco and the red snapper. I have eating skirt steak in most of the Latin restaurants in the metro area and Mi Bandera is one of the top 3 when it comes to flavor, the black beans and rice is authentic Cuban flavor. You can get a full steak meal for $11.99 during the lunch special, try it you won’t regret it.

Such a great experience…the waiters are very polite and friendly..the food is also very good and their specialty is their famous churrasco.. personally I chose the big churrasco…I highly recommend this place if someone wishes to have some good time…

Called a few other places and they all had a long wait. Ended up at an old favorite of when I lived in Union City. I’ve been coming here since they opened in 1992. Best churrasco with chimichurri anywhere! Nick always gets the bistec empanizado with rice and black beans. A side of maduros rounds off the meal. This Cuban is happy!!!

I AM writing this on Friday, October 1, 2021, 4:44PM, ET. The management of Mi Bandera decided to close until the end of the covid19/coronavirus pandemic. I saw this signage about a week ago, but this was the first time I was able to make note of them on Google Maps. Nonetheless, prior to the covid19/coronavirus pandemic, I had dined at Mi Bandera restaurant three times. All three times, the service was impeccable, the prices were reasonable and the food was muy delicioso! I stand for the Miracle that one of the best Hispanic restaurants in Union City, NJ, reopens their doors.

Food allergy friendly restaurant!!!
On Sunday, my family had the opportunity to visit the restaurant and we called in advance to find out accommodations for one our family member with food allergies. Jesus the manager was great!!! Very friendly and willing to help us to feel comfortable and safe. It is a pleasure for me to write this review and thank mi bandera restaurant for such as warm and great customer service!!!
100% child friendly!! Jesus and the servers accommodated us with the menu options!

Have been going to this restaurant for many years. Their food has never disappointed! I almost always order the small churrasco (which is by no means small) and it is one of the best steaks I eat in the many restaurants I visit. Do yourself a favor and check it out !! I am from South America, where we eat a lot of BBQ and this place is great. Very fair price for what they give you. This was not the first time I was here. It is fantastic every time!! We really love it!

I’m originally from the area, but moved to the Midwest 30 years ago. Man, has the city grown and thrived. The restaurant was upstairs and a had a beautiful ambiance. The service was excellent and out waiter on point in every way. I had the salmon, my bf, the T-bone. We both had the plaintains. All so delicious. And when we got the bill we were again pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend this restaurant.
