I dined at this particular location 2 out of the past 3 nights. The food portions were larger than I’m use to and the quality was good. 1st night i was there in a group of 6 and the 2nd night I went solo. The staff were pleasant on both occasions.

When at an airport you don’t always expect good quality dining, well that’s exactly what you will be getting at PF Chang’s in Tampa Airport.

Never thought I’d be doing a review of an airport restaurant but really surprised. Left my tradeshow early and had to use up some time for my flight and didn’t want to carry food onto the airplane, it’s cramped enough as it is.

Was in the mood for “food” vs. “fast food” so decided to try here. As a plant-based eater, I had them hold the meat for the pad Thai and honestly surprised it’s not a standard option. Service was fast. The noodles were quite good for the airport, had great crispy tofu and nice portions. Nice atmosphere with plenty of tables in spacious restaurant. Lots of windows – somehow a lot of the Chang’s that I’ve gone to always are dark.

Went here for dinner today at the TPA location and got Mongolian beef, which was good, and “crispy” (and I use that word lightly) fried green beans, which were not good at all. They are not their normal Crispy Fried Green Beans, they are no longer coated in tempura batter but some weird coating that is not good, even the beans are different, and not in a good way. I strongly urge you to reconsider ordering them, unless you like wasting your money. We expressed this to our waiter or replied sorry you didn’t like them, I don’t either….

I’d suggest telling customers about the change to avoid future customer dissatisfaction.

The restaurant is located outside of the TSA entry points. We ordered steamed pork dumplings, Mongolian beef and Spicy. Chicken. The beef was good but the chicken was mostly crispy batter and not spicy at all. The dumplings were average. Presentation was good and they gave plenty of rice. The portions were large and two can easily share an entree. They have the option for you to scan a QR code and order your food and pay or the waitress comes to take your order. Easy to pay using the QR code with both Google Pay or Apple Pay. Service was average.

While waiting for my flight from Tampa to Chicago, I made a stop at this spot located just before the pre-check zone. I ordered the wonton soup for $13.89 — and to my surprise, it was a huge portion meant to serve six people! Even the waiter mentioned it’s typically shared.

I managed to finish it myself, and it was simply good — flavorful and satisfying. Other dishes being served around me looked appetizing as well. Service was decent, nothing exceptional. My only complaint was the black coffee — it tasted low quality.

Overall, a solid place to grab a meal before your flight.

Food was decent quantity and seasoned well with sauce. Sesame chicken was a solid portion, but most of the chicken pieces were crispy batter rather than chicken. Stringbeans were delicious.

I was overcharged by Juan for $5 more than what I clearly wrote in as tip. I have proof in my receipt, the amount is clearly written.

Food was good (sweet and sour chicken), but the service sucked. I firmly believe it was because I only put a 5% tip too. I was even reluctant to do that much since I ordered from the self service “To Go” kiosk. I did everything myself, even grabbing my own beverage. After exactly 30 mins, I had to ask where my food was. Two servers blew me off and didn’t want to help and the third one finally said ask the front hostess. A front host walked to the back and immediately brought the bag of food out. No telling how long it had been sitting there. Again, food was good, but if you order to go, be aware to start asking after 15-20 mins.

Thus was my first time experiencing P.F. Chang’s at the Tampa International Airport before dropping a friend off to head home. I Hage nit eaten at a PF Chang’s in over 10 years since I was in California. I was impressed with their food and service. Our waitress was on point and easy, very courteous and kind. She was very easygoing and she was able to interact we all ordered different items from bang bang shrimp, orange chicken, low- mein with shrimp, dim.sum and honey chicken. The service and food came out fast and easy, leaving us just enough time to get through security and to our gate with no delays. Overall great little spot at the airport to eat out over fast food.
