Looking for good, authentic Mexican tacos on the south side of Homestead, right before you hit the long road down to the Keys? This little local spot is it!
The food tasted good and the portions were generous too. It’s a small, family-run restaurant with that real-deal vibe. I went with the tacos (which were spot-on), but now I’m definitely planning to come back and try more items from their menu.

$14 for this is insane it was my first time getting this but never again. This place doesn’t compare to the venta spot. Carnitas at the venta have a better taste and cooked to perfection. Please do better

Excelente! Exactly what we needed to satisfy our Mexican food cravings while we were in the area. The service was quick, friendly, and made us feel right at home. They brought us a tray with extra limes, cilantro, onions, and lettuce, which was a nice touch. The food was absolutely tasty, and each bite hit the spot. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area to enjoy another great meal at El Tacazo!

The flavors were authentic and vibrant, really reminding us of the best Mexican food we’ve had. The portions were generous, and we felt like we got great value for what we paid. The atmosphere was laid-back and cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff was attentive, checking in just enough without interrupting our conversation. It’s the kind of place where you can truly enjoy your food and unwind. Can’t wait for our next visit!

The food here is absolutely outstanding, truly exceptional in every way. We had the enchiladas, the bistecca, and the quesadillas, and each dish was phenomenal. The flavors were rich, fresh, and deeply satisfying, and even the rice and beans, often overlooked, were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked.

This place has the warm, welcoming feel of a small, family-owned restaurant, and you can truly taste the love and authenticity in every bite. It’s real, traditional Mexican cuisine at its finest.

I only wish I had remembered to take photos before we started eating, it was that good! This is a gem we’ll absolutely be coming back to.

This is top-of-the-line Mexican food. I actually got the chance to meet the owner of this place when he came into my workplace for services, and we spoke. He was just the nicest person that I have ever met, and I can tell he has a true passion for this resteraunt. So, thank you for keeping everyone fed with your delicious food. I appreciate everything you do for the community. God bless you.

The food was so good I HAD to write a review. I never write reviews so take that how you will.

Truly an amazing hidden gem. The staff are SO nice. They have amazing authentic food, including homemade chips to serve with their homemade salsas and pico de gallo. They serve massive portions at an insanely cheap price.

I did not get what I ordered. Service was ok, as in the servers were very nice but they said the meal would be ready at 8:45 and then when when we arrived at 8:40, they said it would be ready by 8:47 and we did not walk out until 9:17 with food. The food smelled awful and we did not consume.
Super disappointed in this place. I feel like every single time we visit, we have some sort of crazy disappointing issue with our food. I honestly do not know why I continue to give it another chance. This will be the last time unfortunately. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I make better food than this joint

Muy bueno! ❤️
Comfortable shaded outside dining area. A+ food and service! Come with an understanding of Spanish
All the food was so fresh. House made and fresh-fried tortilla chips. Barbacoa was seasoned well and extremely tender Al Pastor w pineapple is chewier, it’s interestingly seasoned, but not something I would get again. I am glad I tried it though, it’s unique. The beans are tasty, you may get some of the pan edge bits, but that part is super delicious too You can tell it’s made with love and flavor. The green salsa on the table I couldn’t stop pouring on my chips and tacos I’m not a local, but heard good reviews before coming. I’m visiting again if I find myself in the area!
