We stumbled across this place on Google and had to try it out for date night! Complete with a fireplace inside, it made our Friday night dinner so cozy. Service was great. We had a few cocktails and wine, the mushroom arancini, rigatoni bolognese, and strip steak. Yum! Fairly priced for a nicer dinner for 2. We will be back.

The adorable patio was the draw for me and my cousin on this gorgeous evening. Our server was a 10/10 and I wish I could remember her name (she had a delicate chain across her nose). She was super helpful with recommendations and gifted with patron engagement. I also appreciated her guidance to a cocktail that wasn’t too sweet (a tequila concoction with jalapenos). I had salmon with grilled asparagus and coconut rice. Salmon was cooked to perfection and topped with an excellent chili glaze. Asparagus was well prepared but could have used a more flavorful seasoning with the char. The rice was nice, but the coconut was too subtle for my preference. The Key Lime dessert was amazing!

This place is so cute!! Service was exceptional, atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, food was ok. We had a steak, ceasar salad and lasagna. Portions were good, food was not outstanding but was good. Overall really liked this place and would give it another try – great date spot.

CAL-A-MAR-I = I’ve never had better.

Sat at the bar (no reservation).

Hard for a place this big to keep the neighborhood vibe but they did.

No music atmosphere works well for this place…casual conversations everywhere.

Crew is simply mellow.

This is a fantastic place! Staff, food, atmosphere is great. This is a beautiful restaurant, with outstanding service. Everyone is so welcoming! The staff is always so nice and on top of all your wants and needs. Food is delicious. Wonderful, relaxed restaurant to visit. When we’re in town, we always have dinner and great drinks here. There’s nothing the bartender can’t make. Located in a great area also! Recommend you stop by and have a drink and food/appitzers!

Stumbled upon this place after driving by and just thought the outside looked cozy and cute. We were not disappointed because the food and cocktails are amazing! We’ve been back multiple times and brought out of town guests and everyone loves it. The bartender and servers are always so nice and personable.

Just a cute, cozy place with expertly crafted cocktails, a well curated menu, and friendly staff!

Writing this as my first google review, because this place deserves it: Pure magic. If you are looking for a delicious, high-quality meal with a very classy and cozy atmosphere, this place has that and more. But my fav part is that the managers here are so incredibly kind (see story below). This is your spot for a transportive environment, whether a date night or solo or friends. String lights, fireplace, high quality food, kind people, phenomenal wine. If you’re on the fence, go here. You won’t regret it.

Story: I live out of state, but my sister lives in Colorado, and for her birthday I asked if I could order ahead for her to come dine in for one. I spoke to Thomas, the manager, directly, and he was more than welcoming. During a busy dinner rush, he took the time to make the reservation, take the order, and was so kind, patient, and helpful. He ended the phone call with, “We look forward to taking care of your sister.” Above and beyond! I do not know many dining establishments that would do this.

Not only that, but my sister said that the food was delicious. She had the bison chili, a pasta, and the creme brulee and said everything was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. She thought the bison chili was so fun. She loved every bit of her dining experience and felt very pampered. She was impressed by the ambiance, quality of food, and kindness of the staff. Personally, I am blown away by the hearts of these people; this is how you tell that a eatery has good bones. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We went to West 29th for Mother’s Day. Everyone loved the atmosphere with a vibe that’s bigger than the restaurant actually is. We ordered the beef and cheese as well as the mussels for appetizers. The mussels were a swing and a miss, almost bland and of putting. 3 of the 4 of us only had a small dinner serving and we did not finish the dish. But the meat and cheese board was on point! We finished every last bit of the dish. Also, the two appetizers came 15 to 20 minutes apart along with a side that was ordered with the dinner entrées. Dining out is not just about the quality of the food but also the experience. That’s just bad execution on the part of the kitchen.

For dinner, my son and I had the pork chops, my wife, the chicken, and Katie the Tuscan braised beef. My son’s entrée came out minutes after the rest of ours. His plate fresh from the kitchen, mine with cold potatoes after waiting for everything else to catch up. Again, the food was delicious, but the kitchen’s execution was wanting.

And after dinner we tried ordering some after dinner drinks only to discover half of the drinks we attempted to order were no longer carried. Fair enough, but just take them off the menu

So all in all, the general consensus was the food was great. Even though the mussels were far from a fac, you can’t hit it out of the park every time. The service was good and attentive. The kitchen and chefs know the food but could do better in the logistics of paying a full meal.

Long story short, we will be back. The food was that good .

The food is always good and cooked to perfection. The wine list is OUTSTANDING. The service is fast, respectful, and knowledgeable about the menu.

It’s a great place to go with family. You can sit on the amazing patio or inside at one of their many tables (or the bar). There’s a private room for larger groups.

I truly think this is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. In the age of every restaurant trying to get a Michelin star, this place roses above the rest by just doing food, drink, and ambiance to perfection.

I love this place.

I am a relatively frequent diner at West 29th, either with my husband or with girlfriends. This last time on December 20th, I was quite disappointed unfortunately. First, the temperature in the dining room was too cold and I had to drape my coat over my shoulders even though I was wearing a heavy sweater. Secondly, my husband–who drinks dark beers–was first told they were out of Guinness. Then the server offered a Belgian ale but came back to say they were out of that too. I had the mussels appetizer as my entree. They do not have shellfish forks for the mussels, I was told. They always have mussels on their menu and should provide a shellfish fork in my opinion. The presentation of the mussels was such that they were crowded into a small bowl which made it almost impossible to get to the broth. I hope the owner will hear my suggestions as constructive. We do like this restaurant a great deal and plan to return.
