This place is Fantastic! They have Such a fun environment and welcoming attitude! It gives you that small town, hole-in-the wall vibe that you are looking for! The tacos are done the correct way and they offer different sauces with different levels of heat to accommodate most every taste.
Then you can cool down with a nice fresh creamy ice cream! This place never disappoints and we’ll be coming back

The food is excellent. The Al Pastor tacos are not traditional, but still good. Prices are great, food is ready fast. Can’t beat the outdoor patio in nice weather, and a great taco bar atmosphere inside.

I love this place! I eat here several times per week as I am at the library in town almost every day while my son attends classes at the university. The food is delicious and consistent. I am not a sauce girlie but the flavors are so well done that I don’t see why adding anything else to my food would even be necessary. My favorites are the quesadillas. They are simply amazing. Also, the service here is great so win-win.

We drive 20 plus minutes to eat at our (“Taco Hut”) Taqueria Z several times a month and more in the summer! It is absolutely a must try to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet! We love the chaocos! I cannot believe they don’t have 5 stars. Go, try and review. We will get it to 5 because I know you’ll love it!!!

Authentic would not be the word I would ever use for this place. As soon as we walked in and heard the music we knew we shouldn’t stay. My wife is Mexican and I can cook better authentic food than this place. So if you have no taste don’t care about their high prices for low quality food then go here. If you want real Mexican food go to El Maguey in Edwardsville.

I almost don’t want to do a review, because I want to keep this fantastic nugget to myself. But, that’s not nice. This place is extremely popular with locals. We’re not that local as we drive from O’Fallon, Il and the short drive is so worth it! It’s mostly an outside dining area (as true taquerias are), but they do have a couple tables inside. It’s this simple: walk in order, pay, go sit down, and they bring it to you. As you order, you can see all aspects of the kitchen and the drink prep area. It’s true street tacos as I remember them in California. Their quesadillas are very unique with a flat grill grilled cheese on the inside. They are crispy cheese inside and oh so good. They have a ton of meat or veggie options. They are made to order. Their salsas are absolutely so good. I’ve had every level and I love them all. I also highly recommend their hand crafted margaritas. Another thing I highly respect from Taqueria Z is that they don’t have a lot of flash as far as their decor. Their focus is truly on quality and service. Don’t get me wrong, it’s clean and they do have restrooms inside. Also, they are eco friendly using almost all recyclables as much as possible. Oh, I forgot the street corn…I could eat 10! I love this establishment. I feel it should be bigger than it is, but I’m glad it’s not. Congratulations on your success.

It’s a really good place.. has bunch of varieties on the menu.. love the ambience with very good lighting and the outdor seating area.. but I feel the prices are a little higher for the size of the tacos they offer, but they taste really good though.. will go there again and again..
