Tired of the same old breakfast of bacon and eggs, I set out on foot to find something more creative. A 20-minute walk across the bridge led me to the charming Little Owl Cafe, and it was definitely the right choice.
The cafe itself is incredibly inviting, with a cozy atmosphere perfect for hunkering down with a good book or getting some work done. I’m currently enjoying a perfectly made Golden milk tea from their impressive drink menu, which has a little something for everyone.
For my meal, I went all in and tried a few things: the chicken fajita soup (the soup of the day), a satisfying GF waffle, and a decadent slice of matcha cake.
What’s really great about the Little Owl Cafe is its commitment to catering to different diets. They offer a creative twist on breakfast, brunch, and lunch that is gluten-free, celiac-friendly, and vegan-friendly. They clearly understand dietary restrictions and food safety, making it a great spot for anyone looking for a unique and safe dining experience.
This restaurant is good for everybody with or without a dietary restriction!!!

I was visiting Fairbanks and wanted to check out the local cafes. After hearing good things I decided to check out the Little Owl Cafe and I’m glad I did. The cafe itself is nice and quaint with kind of a modern chic decorum and has some cool art to look at. The staff was very friendly and had a great recommendation for a coffee that was fantastic. I happened to go on a Saturday which they were running a special for vegan biscuits and gravy. I was skeptical but gave it a shot and I was very impressed with them. Very flavorful and hearty which is exactly what you want from a southern classic.
I unfortunately didn’t try any of their pastries but I hear they’re quite good as well and hope to try them the next time I come to town.
Side note, there’s a great anime/manga/comic shop on the same strip. It’s the perfect place to pick up a manga and then grab a great cup of coffee

I love both Little Owl locations! I will say if you are craving gluten or meat the original location has more options for food. If coffee and a baked good are what you are looking for either location has great options! However they bake the goods at the Little Owl by the comic shop and I sometimes will find more baked goods there! Can’t go wrong at either location. I really love all their homemade coffee syrups as well, my favorite right now is the cardamon flavor.

Sunny cafe with good vibes and great food for many dietary needs. We came for the plentiful vegan options but they also have gf options etc.
Don’t miss the Coconut-Limeade drink and be sure to save room for a dessert or baked goods!

Fantastic coffee, Quick service. I highly reccomend their pastries, they are always my favorite. Their rose cardamom donut is incredible. They frequently have a drink of the month or some specialty drink they are doing and it always comes out great.

The barista was lovely and they have the best house-made pumpkin butter latte I’ve ever had. Seriously delicious and also the cups are adorable, as a little bonus. Definitely recommend this darling cafe.

Little Owl Cafe is incredible. Lots of vegan and gluten free choices, fresh and flavorful, and a very fair price for it all. Highly recommend. I drop in every time I am in Fairbanks.

I cannot believe this cafe is upcharging frozen microwave burritos and prepackaged guacamole and trying to market them as house-made. They have vegan options but they are the same ones you can get at the grocery store across the street. This was so disappointing and not acceptable for a sit down restaurant. The bakery items are also old and wet-seemingly straight out of the freezer. Do not be fooled by the menu! Nothing is fresh or made in house!
Not only that, they microwaved the frozen burrito so long the tortilla was rock hard.
