We visited Cibaria Manly for lunch and had a lovely overall experience. We ordered the pizzetta and the Nerano croquette to start, both were enjoyable and a great way to begin the meal. For mains, we tried the Tagliatelle Verde Bolognese, which was good but not particularly memorable. However, the standout dish was the squid ink spaghetti aglio e olio, absolutely delicious and something I would genuinely come back for. The flavours were well balanced, fragrant, and satisfying without being too heavy. We had the rice pudding, which was really nice, though it would be even better served chilled. We also tried the mandarin & calamansi gelato. It was refreshing in small amounts, but the calamansi flavour was quite overpowering.

Overall, a great lunch spot in Manly with some standout dishes especially that squid ink spaghetti!

Loved that place. Service was amazing. My husband said the burger was probably the best burger he had lately. I’ve had fish/catch of the day, barramundi, it was a bit too salty for my taste, other than that the chardonnay was really good and just loved the atmosphere, would definitely be happy to go back and try some more of their menu.

beach front trattoria with a classic yet refreshing menu, everything was molto bene! we had our end of year Chrissie party here and it was really good for big groups, with a wonderful view of Manly beach

Pizetta Bianca with garlic and rosemary, you just can’t beat bread this fresh and fluffy, especially paired with the stone axe salted Wagyu Beef Bresaola.

the Scallops were presented so beautifully, and were equally as delicious with lemon oil, finger lime, chervil, and ocean trout roe. also enjoyed the Crudo with marinated tomato dressing and shallot oil.

highlight dish for me was the Gorgonzola Al Cucchiaio served tableside in this gorgeous little trolley, finished with caramelised walnuts and honey! so so good, it had that wonderful zesty tang that wasn’t too heavy or overpowering.

for primi, we had the Trottole Agolio E Olio with crab meat, lemon, garlic and chilli. I was really thankful this was a light pasta dish, yet still so creamy and inviting. generous amount of crab too!

Dry-Aged Ribeye was our main, and wow was this thing huge but so well cooked and seasoned, really enjoyed this one paired with the Mixed Leaf Salad (but was craving some chippie or potatoes at this point haha). still lovely!

dessert was their signature Hazelnut Tiramisu, the piedmont hazelnut mascarpone cream was delightful and so well flavoured, unfortunately the savioardi biscuits weren’t soaked enough so each bite was too hard for me.

The food was not bad. The atmosphere was amazing – especially seats near the water. We would have preferred to order pasta, but we were seated in the bar area where they have a different menu due to them being too busy – so we didn’t actually get to try the food properly – in future when I try their pasta I may be able to adjust my review – as the food we did order was not bad but nothing special.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Robin we felt this was going to be fantastic and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing!!!

We had lots to celebrate and Robin and the rest of the serving team made us feel special.

Overall a very nice restaurant with a superb atmosphere and interior design. It has a great buzz and the general vibe is great tasty Italian style menu and a solid wine selection.
It’s a great venue for a celebration and friends gathering but it’s not a cheap affair. You may wonder why I haven’t give it 5 stars but the simple answer is when paying $110 per person for a lunch menu that is shared in a family style and for 10 people you would expect that dessert was included…..ok at eighty maybe not but at $110….. hmmm now you are pushing it Chef!! The wine list is nice, but again the mark up on the wine was high…..and the balance a question!!
As stated the place has a great atmosphere and is well worth a visit but hopefully the management can review the pricing!

The restaurant is beautiful, and so do the dishes – they were delicious, especially the desserts! However, the services were… quite slow. I’m not sure whether it’s because of the peak hours, or there was staff shortage. Either way, I believe this needs to be improved.

Overall, I still had a good experience.

Had dinner three days ago with terrible dining experience. First start with ask drink list twice on two different persons both let me wait half hour and never come back to me. The water never been filled up. Then one of the entry we all feel extremely salty no placement no refund the waitress just take it away. The last when we pay the bill my credit card show it’s going through(pending), but the pos machine show declined. And the credit card start automatically protects can’t tap it again with in short period. The waitress can’t solve the problem then call the manager “Tahlia”, she come to our table straight away said sir you need find a way to pay for this. We understand maybe the pos machine signal issues but you need find another way to pay.said with impolite attitude and upset face. Whole table of my friends are shocked. Lucky my friend have me to pay for it. I feel so embarrassed it’s my pre birthday I invite all my best friends to come. End up have to ask my friends to pay for it. We spend $900 between four people. Maybe in manly area this is not expensive. But the service we got a it’s make me and my friends really uncomfortable.
The manger Tahlia said will follow up the details next day but today is day four I didn’t receive anything also my credit card still not received that amount back yet.

Honestly. I cannot express how fantastic this meal was. Every dish was absolutely blow away, the wine recommendations from Emiliano were perfect. The service by Melanie was great and then the Manager Robynne delivered great desserts for my wifes birthday. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to cover our experience!

Outstanding food and truly next-level service from start to finish. We began with tuna and kingfish crudos, scallops and the best garlic pizza we’ve had in ages. For mains, the pastas were all delicious, with the ragu-style bolognese a clear standout, and the swordfish was cooked perfectly with beautiful flavour.

The wine was just as impressive — a rosé made with Pinot Grigio grapes that we loved so much we ordered two bottles. We were celebrating our 50th birthdays and the team made the evening feel relaxed, special and memorable without being overdone. Finished with an incredible hazelnut tiramisu.

Thank you for having us, Cibaria — we’ll be back for sure.
