2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is spacious with high ceilings!
3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! The dishes came out separately as follow: Siu Mai, Rice Noodle Rolls, and then spare ribs!
Note: There are restrooms for customers with multiple stalls!

We have been coming here for over five years… basically since the start of the Avengers Infinity Saga. The real superpower this place has is that they are open on Christmas when everyone else is closed. Seriously, driving around town felt like the Thanos Snap dusted every other business, but Lunasia was shining bright like the Mind Stone in Vision’s forehead. But honestly? It isn’t just about convenience. This is hands down the freshest Chinese food I’ve ever tasted.
We have friends who travel the globe constantly—jumping around like Doctor Strange hopping through the Multiverse. They’ve eaten everywhere throughout Asia, and they consistently say the dim sum here is better than anything they get overseas. And I agree. The quality here is like Wakandan technology… just lightyears ahead of everyone else.
Over the years we have tried almost every item on the menu. Watching them add and improve dishes is like watching Tony Stark upgrade his armor from the cave scrap to the Mark 85 Nano-tech. They definitely evolve. Nothing stays stagnant.
You would think with the flood of hungry customers on a holiday (literally looked like the Chitauri army invading New York…remember those aliens from Avengers 2012? ), the staff would get overwhelmed. But nope. They handle the chaos like Black Panther protecting the kingdom—total focus. The service is friendly and has that Captain America “I can do this all day” energy.
Parking was actually a breeze too since the rest of the plaza is closed—plenty of room to land the Quinjet. We will keep coming here until the Endgame.
Merry Christmas Lunasia! I love you 3000 (Iron Man’a holographic sign off to his daughter, in case you forgot). 5 stars!
Everything was great except that almost everything tasted a little sweet to me. The only thing I didn’t taste the sweetness was the stir fried flat rice noodles with beef. Also, they never came back to add hot water in the tea and I tried to get their attention but they were just too busy.
The food wasn’t as fresh today. The shrimp was dirty (still had the poop vains) The portions are decent and the quality felt reheated during the week, not fresh like on the weekends. The pork was good. It was warm as if it was reheated (cold/warm pieces). We were billed and rushed to pay as they stand in front of you to collect the payment with out letting you reviewing the bill or tip at your discretion. She wouldn’t move. Hovering over me to pay with portable machine as I paid. Then she quickly left. Felt as if the bill was high for what we got. I found there to be an added charge for $13+ on the bill. I brought it up to the manager and she told me it was correct. I looked up the “desserts” we were charged and explained we never ordered it. She said oh we’ll give it to you to take home. I told her I didn’t want it, she said they didn’t do refunds. I explained to her I never ordered it and wasn’t satisfied this time around nor wanted to come back. She told me she can only give me store credit. So in the end I was still charged for the un-ordered desserts. I had no other option but to walk away with a over charge and a store credit to a place I didnt want to return to.
Everything was great!!! Some of the food was a little salty for my taste (I only eat out on weekends, and I eat home cooked food during the week), but the food was still very tasty. This is probably the most I have enjoyed dim sum at Lunasia in the past 5-7 years. Dim sum was not always my favorite, but it has grown on me.
Service
The servers were very attentive with the water and tea refills, provided the small bowl and spoon for rice (easier to eat than chopsticks on a plate), sugar, & lemon slices as requested. The only thing I would recommend is when the server gives you the to-go boxes, to not just throw the to-go boxes/bags, don’t just throw them on the table like you don’t care. I just laughed it off, but I would recommend paying attention to those small details, as other people may not be as forgiving. Might just be a cultural thing.
Atmosphere
I really enjoyed the different versions of the acoustic (calm) style of music that was playing. Really gives you a sense of calm to enjoy your food. Very relaxing even with all the commotion from other parties.
Overall
I still feel that Sam Woo Cafe (1st) vs. Lunasia (very close 2nd) is on the top of my list (my preference), only because of their vietnemese coffee, but other than that, Lunasia and Sam Woo are pretty close on food quality. The prices might be the only factor that differentiates the two restaurants and customer service. Give both a try. I believe Lunasia can seat more people. The actual wait time was supposed to be 10-20 minutes, but it took less than that to be texted to be seated. Very impressed. Enjoy!!!
We got the scallop dumplings with squid ink, shrimp and pork siu mai with truffle , jumbo shrimp har gow, spinach shrimp dumpling, mixed puff with pork, rice noodle with shrimp, marinated jelly fish, roasted Peking duck, house special cucumber, fish maw and crab soup, and Taiwanese jasmine tea.
Everything is flavorful but we love the roasted Peking duck and scallop dumplings the most. The filling is a good portion.
You can take order by scanning QR code, convenient!
Edit: I would also skip the spicy dumplings. Not spicy at all. Also wouldn’t get the pineapple buns or the cucumbers. The seafood chow mein was very very salty.
