Absolutely love this place. Five stars all the way.
We ate at Me Con Bistro, and everything was on point from start to finish. We had the egg rolls, vermicelli (bún) bowls, grilled chicken, and fried rice-all of it was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food.
Big shoutout to our server, Anthony N-he was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Service like that really makes a difference and adds to the whole experience.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for good food and great service. We’ll definitely be back.
The music leaned more toward oldies and gave the place a hipster vibe rather than a traditional Vietnamese atmosphere. Parking felt a little sketchy, with several people appearing to live in their vehicles nearby.
As for the food, the broth was nice but a bit light on flavor and vegetables. What really made this visit stand out, though, was our waitress—she was incredibly attentive, kind, and made the experience so much better. The restroom was also spacious, stroller-friendly, and had a clean changing station, which is a big plus for families
Huge selection of Asian dishes, and they’re all really good
Appreciate the cheap beer!
Service was exceptional, and they were very intentional about honoring gluten free limitations.
We got four meals and a “starter,” kim chi fries, to share. The fries are generous enough in portion size to easily be a full meal for most people. And they were delicious! Nice east-west fusion food.
Note: Our order arrived with a lot of melted cheese on top. which was not mentioned on the menu. When I pointed it out to the waiter (bc of a dairy allergy), he apologized and quickly brought another without cheese. We ended up with plenty of food to take home.
We had pho x2, Mongolian beef, and vermicelli with pork. Everything was delicious.
The restaurant is in a strip mall, so don’t expect amazing ambience. But the food was great, the service was polite, prompt, and friendly, and prices are surprisingly low for Austin in 2026. Highly recommend it! I will definitely return.
I am Vietnamese fan, I have tried a lot of restaurants and have been disappointed. This place is in my top 3 favorite places. I don’t give out 5 stars often! Also reasonably priced!
The spring rolls were fresh, multi-ingredient,
julienned cucumber and a crunchy fried bit inside gave it a nice texture. Well above average on the spring rolls, peanut sauce good as well.
Vermicelli bowl, also very flavorful, good textures, fish sauce could be better imo.
Thai Tea is also excellent. Server allowed me to sample before ordering since I don’t like super sweet drinks, and although it was sweet, little too sweet , the flavors just made me want to drink it more. Will probably order again.
Service is the best I have seen!
I would highly recommend!
