I had never heard of Huey Magoo’s so decided to try it while visiting Mississippi. I’m a big fan of chicken tenders and this place didn’t disappoint. Great vibe in the restaurant … didn’t feel like fast food … and lots of menu options. I was helped by Zy – she was very friendly and personable. I decided on a tender meal and it was delicious! I tried the sweet heat sauce on a couple of the tenders, and that added just the right amount of spice. They also have a watermelon tea and great lemonade options too. My regret was not trying the banana pudding so I’ll just have to go back!

First time at one of these. Some of the best chicken tenders I’ve tasted! Fries and toast were good. They were out of sweet tea, but the strawberry lemonade was very good. Chocolate chip cookies were good. Staff was friendly and nice. I had the buffalo chicken and it was bangin! I didn’t like the coleslaw.

What a disappointment. Walked in, stood in line while off duty employees hung out blocking the register while having a 10 minute conversation with the person working. They all thought it was funny while there is a line 8 deep of
People waiting to order. Sweet tea was sour as well. Go to Canes, much better service for sure. Not one person said welcome or thank you. Turn in the ac, it was 85 degrees inside. I’m still sitting here, still waking on food since they gave my order to someone else and never brought mine.

The service is always top notch at this location. The food is pretty good. I recommend the lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan tenders. The sweet heat tenders were ok but I wouldn’t buy that kind again. Overall, good food and very professional staff.

Edit: went today and order whole family food. They had a bus and place was full of people but my online order was 100% correct and awesome!
I love huey maghoos. I especially love their spicy maghoo sauce. Ive ordered so many times and there’s only been one or two times where I get all my food or get what I order. They tie the bag so if you pick up in drive way, make sure you untie and check right there. Once you pull around the block, youll get accused of lying and have to deal with rolling eyes and constant hate looks. Again, I love this place but there needs to be better quality check. I will say the early crew is usually awesome. Typically the night ones that make it difficult.

Jessica T was our cashier at the Pearl location. She greeted us at the door from the counter. When we got to the front to take our order she was very friendly and courteous. We even engaged in conversation while ordering. She’s very bubbly and sweet, she made us laugh and was sweet to our child.
After our interaction we even upgraded our order. This is the kind of interaction I hope to have at every restaurant. Her hospitality and kindness was appreciated. God bless!

We’ve never heard of this place. So glad we decided to give it a try. The tenders and fries are better than Rasing Canes and Zaxbys HANDS DOWN!! The amount of food and the size of tenders is well worth the price. We would have spent $35 at Canes for us both to eat. We spent $20 and left with a to go box the tenders are really that big. We will eat here again if we come across them again!

This was my first time at Huey Magoo’s. The food came quick and was great, the fries weren’t hot but they actually tasted like potatoes, not like oil. The fries were also seasoned to perfection. The chicken and sauce was great too. Their drink options were top notch. I recommend the lemonade and watermelon tea mixture with lots of ice. My only complaint is that the chicken was skimpy. I was told this place was similar to Cane’s but judging from this visit alone the chicken tenders at Cane’s are twice the size. I would definitely visit again though.

I had to try this place based off of the reviews and the news article. The food was good, the service was good, but it wasn’t near the hype. I was really frustrated when my kids and I showed up to Dine-in, the parking lot was a mess and there wasn’t anywhere for us to sit (it was too cold and windy to sit outside). Granted, it was during a lunch rush; however, the place isn’t that big anyways. The tenders are good, but small, and have no flavor outside of the dipping sauce (the sweet heat sauce is the bomb, as stated by another review). The magoo’s sauce I wasn’t impressed with though it tasted like it had a ton of Mayo in it. The sandwich and wrap were good, and the fries were well seasoned. We’ll go back, only if we’re already over there, and maybe try the grilled strips to see if they are any better than the breaded. Overall, I paid $42 for similar food I can get elsewhere, and did not get drinks (I guess they’re not included) but, the food is good.

A few people gave this place good reviews I tried them out. The tenders were nothing special especially for the price. The fries could have been better as well. Service was not the fastest even though it was only maybe 3 customers.
