Good sushi rice and fish. Soy isn’t blended with mirin/katsuobushi but still nice. Ramen was good too. Katsu don great too 🙂 surprised to find Otoro in the middle of Mexico!

If you are craving Japanese food in Oaxaca, this is the place. I had a ramen craving and this helped. The broth was a bit thick but flavor was good. The fried squid was flavorful. The chicken wings were a bit spicy for my liking.

Delicious food. Beautiful Japanese garden. Service is slower than normal.

Food is great. We are from NYC and it’s normal Japanese dishes but definitely refined compared with other places.

The ambience helps with a great meal. I enjoy the art on the all and the comfortable chairs. Some chairs need to be upgraded. I would dine in the right side near the bar next to the time.

Service can be quicker. Took a long time for the drinks to come. The food all came together. We had good company and it was fine.

I’m from the US with a Japanese wife and have traveled quite a bit in Japan. Sukiyaki was too sweet and was missing shitake, which is a key ingredient. It should not contain squash. Japanese curry is expected to be less spicy than Mexican versions and theirs was ok. Good that they have Japanese drinks. Service was a little slow on drinks but overall good. Place is very nice. A bit overpriced in my opinion.

The matcha mousse was superb, but could reduce the sweetness for the strawberry jam. Seafood ramen was quite disappointing – not a fan of the starchy broth and yellow noodles, but the cabbage was good though. The small portion was indeed quite small. Jasmine tea mocktail was not bad. Service was quite slow, takes some time to get a seat (when there’s plenty) and to serve.

Very nice hole in the wall. I came here last year and did not have any pictures. My expectations were high and they were met. The broth had great flavor and everything was portioned perfectly. The pork and eggs were flavorful. We also tried the Toro Sashimi and those were perfect. You would not expect to walk into a Ramen Restaurant from the outside but the experience was good. I highly recommend this establishment and you will not be disappointed.

The beautiful patio is an added bonus to the experience. They do have a well thought food menu with a great selection of cocktails.
The food is prepared with care and with fresh ingredients. Starters are quite good, however, I think the ramen could have been a bit tastier (reason why I am giving 4 starts)
On the other hand, the cocktails are amazing!

First meal in Oaxaca city and it was such a great surprise. Best Japanese restaurant I have tried in MEXICO! Love the atmosphere service drinks and food! We did not have reservation but waited for 10 minutes to get a table. It is busy and better to make a reservation in advance. Amazing price for this quality.

This was such a cozy and comforting meal, one of the best I’ve had in a long time! I will definitely be going back ASAP. The environment minister as great as well, the murals are beautiful. The 666 cocktail was light and low in ABV – just what I wanted!

They have an open space which is beautiful but was very hot when I visited. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was good. The first drink I ordered was too strong but the waiter kindly offered me a different one and guided me to make a better choice. Had the Miso wings and two cocktails (Jade and Samaritana) the second one was very tasty!
