My fiancé and I decided to try Sugar & Fire for a casual lunch, and we loved every second of it. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and inviting.

We were greeted with genuine smiles by the staff and chose to sit outside. Before we even ordered, they brought out complimentary garlic butter bread with a side of rich butter for dipping.

For our appetizer, we went with the chicken empanada, and wow—it was a golden, flaky pocket of perfection. The filling was tender, well-seasoned shredded chicken with just the right kick of spices, and it came with a house-made sauce.

My main was the Steak & Onion Sandwich with a side of crispy French fries. This sandwich is a beast. Packed with thinly sliced, juicy steak, caramelized onions, on Cuban bread, it was messy in the best way possible. The flavors were bold, savory, and deeply satisfying. The fries were hot, golden, and perfectly salted.
The portions are generous, the prices are great, and the quality is top-notch. The staff checked on us just the right amount—attentive without hovering—and you can tell they take pride in the food and the experience.

If you haven’t been, go. You’ll leave happy, full, and counting down the days until you return!

First time here. I was expecting more enphasis on details. Rice was cold. I ask for tostones fresh. They was not fresh. The bread has a weird smell and flavor, was the worst of the wholle food. Ok, ropa vieja was good, biftec also was really good and the sweet plantains. I think for the price we paid they has to give more enphasis on the quality of the food.

We stopped here for lunch and everything was absolutely delicious — and reasonably priced, too! We tried the chicken empanada, Cuban sandwich, and steak sandwich. The empanada was perfectly hot and crispy, with a tasty tartar sauce on the side. Both sandwiches were generously sized, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sweet plantains were the perfect finishing touch — warm, caramelized, and so good. Highly recommend!

Omg! So delicious! We tried first time Cuban food and got so surprised how good it is.
The owner very friendly. We definitely need to support our small business like that.

Also Cuban espresso is very good .

This has got to be the best tasting food in Dalton! As soon as I took the first bite, I knew this was authentic. Yes, it’s pricey but the flavor and portion sizes exceeded my expectations. I love this place! Definitely going back!

I’ve been waiting for a place like this for a while. As a Miami native who left Florida 20 something years ago, I’ve been missing a place where I can taste a bit of “home”. I’m not Cuban myself, I’m actually Puerto Rican -Mexican but I love me some Cuban food!!!!! The food was great. The atmosphere was great and don’t get me wrong, their service was amazing – just a bit shortstaffed. I called ahead to let them know that I was taking my mom for her birthday and they literally set up a table with balloons and a birthday banner. I’ve never seen anything like it at a restaurant before. They did their thing! Ya’ll, go check them out and show them some love!

Everyone should try out this new Cuban restaurant downtown. Though it has not been opened very long the atmosphere and its food represent Cuban heritage. The owners were very pleasant and open to ideas for their establishment. The Cuban sandwich was very good and tasted the vaca frita. I will surely go back to try out the rest of the menu.

If you’re looking for truly authentic Cuban food, this is the place to go! Our large group arrived about an hour to closing, and they were kind enough to stay open just for us. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, treating us very nice from the moment we walked in.

The food was absolutely amazing—full of flavor, fresh, and served surprisingly fast considering the size of our group. Every dish felt authentic and made with care. The entire experience was wonderful, and we were all impressed by both the service and the quality of the food.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Cuban cuisine and exceptional hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back!
