Came here with my dad for dinner before we went to a show. The minute we walked in the door we were greated with smiles. The energy in this place is great such a kind reception when we walked in. The place was spotless. I am always one to look to see the cleanliness of a restaurant when I walk in. The service was amazing and very informative. My dad tried to order the food at a level too high for our pallets. She let us know that we should order at a lower level and gave us a side of the level 7 to let us know how hot it could have been. Thank you so much for saving us. Her name was Swastika and she was nothing but smiles and kindness. I will come back to this restaurant for sure. The food was amazing, it smelt like heaven and tasted even better.

We had the lamb coconut korma and aloo govi. The lamb was incredibly tender! We would totally order that again. Service was kind and frequent and the ambiance is relaxing. As you can see by our empty plates and serving dishes, it was absolutely delicious!

We had onions battered in chickpeas (onion bhaji), dumplings, and the grill meat special with lamb, fish, chicken and roasted vegetables. It was all so good, and such a refreshing change from bland local food. We had to box some of it because there was so much food. My wife and son *loved* the samosa chat as well. Authentic, delicious and local.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed our experience. The host/waiter was very friendly and funny. We enjoyed chicken tikka masala, chicken coconut korma and garlic naan. I think we enjoyed the coconut korma the most. Was a very relaxing atmosphere with chill music.

Amazing place! We went for a 3pm meal and were the only ones there. It is such a beautiful place. We shared the Coconut Korma and it was most delicious. The regular Naan bread was particularly good. They have a buffet there on certain days/times. The service (for obvious reasons) was wonderful, lol. We would absolutely go there again and HIGHLY recommend.

Came for a late dinner and were super super impressed! The food was delicious, and the naan was so good! It has a subtle sweetness to it that paired well with the chicken vindaloo & Chana masala. Everything was also very well priced. Our waiter told us about the lunch buffet they have every day for $15. We will be back for that! Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love their food quality. The taste of the biriyani was amazing and surprisingly they are consistent. I also loved their chicken grill and specially samosa chaat. If you love spicy try to select 6 out of 7 spice level to get that good spicy food. I love spice and the level of spice was perfect. Additionally, their food is low cost comparing to others here.
One downside is that I don’t like the color added/produced in the foods as those seem like more colored looking.

Having visited many Indian restaurants in the Salt Lake City area, we find that Gurkhas offers the best lunch buffet for its price. The buffet provides excellent value with impressive quality and variety. Our favorite part is that lassi and chai tea are included. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant features a calm, peaceful ambiance.
