Tucked inside the Irvine Marriott, YNK Speakeasy is a cozy, stylish hideaway that feels more like an upscale living room than a bar. I came with five friends to celebrate my birthday, and we ordered just about everything: Smoked Old Fashioned ($21), Cactus Club ($18), Chakai Kyushikis ($27!), Momoe ($27!), Airbuzz ($18), Whiskey Sour ($18), and Smoke & Mirrors ($18). We also grabbed churro bites and a cookie skillet, which were tasty finger food options.

The drinks? Fantastic. Creative, well-balanced, and worth the hype. But with some cocktails priced at $27, the prices are on the steeper side, even for Orange County. That makes YNK a “special occasion” stop, not your regular Friday night spot.

The vibe is intimate, with comfy couches and high-tops, and the staff was warm and welcoming. One even shared that the menu rotates every few months, which is reason enough to return.

✅ Pro tip: Make a reservation for evening hours.
✅ Parking is paid, but the bar validates—bless them.

Overall, I’m thrilled this speakeasy opened, especially after the last one, which was in the backroom of their hotel kitchen, seems to have closed shop. While the price point keeps it from being a regular hangout, it’s perfect for a treat-yourself night. Cheers, YNK—you’re bougie, but I like you.

These dudes know cocktails. I was very surprised for a Marriott to have a menu this creative and diverse.

We talked to the bartender about the story behind the bar and they rotate the drinks every trimester going along with the season and they try to highlight different base liquors. All the drinks we ordered were just about perfect but one was high on the citrus side and they were happy to switch it out. Def coming back.

This was a fantastic little speakeasy vibe/private space in the Marriott. The bartender we had was amazing, so talented, attentive, and kind. The drinks were some of the best craft cocktails we have had in Orange County. The presentation was top notch. All you locals out there in Irvine and surrounding cities, this is a must visit.

YNK Speakeasy is a small lounge nestled within the Marriott Irvine and offers an intimate setting with seating for approximately 10-12 guests.

We were staying at the Marriot Irvine and stumbled on the YNK by sheer coincidence. We were having drinks at the lobby bar, pondering where we were going to explore that night when we asked the bartender about the what was the room behind the bar and he told us that it was the Marriott’s Speakeasy, YNK. We asked if we needed reservations or if can talk to the manager over there to get us in. He came back and said that the bar manager said they were booked for the night and couldn’t get us in. Well I pulled out my phone and did some research and was able to secure us a reservation for 2 in the next 10 minutes. Not sure what that was about, or maybe they were trying to portray the perception of exclusivity, but oh well we got in! Reservations, conveniently available through Open table!!

The small size of the lounge contributes to an intimate and cozy ambiance, making it perfect for smaller groups or a quiet evening for couples. The seating arrangement is designed to encourage conversation and connection, providing an escape from the bustling atmosphere outside.

For those who appreciate a discreet and refined atmosphere, YNK Speakeasy inside the Marriott Irvine stands as a testament to the allure of speakeasy-style lounges, offering a distinctive and memorable escape within the heart of Irvine.

What a great find! We will be back!

YNK is small, but awesome! We stopped by here after dinner at the Melting Pot. It was the best way to end the evening. It’s a creative little spot. When we went, the theme was Amsterdam. The décor and drinks were all part of the theme. Their drink menus are hand written/drawn, which adds to the fun! We were told the theme changes every few months to bring something new and different. They keep some of the old drinks, but not all as some have special mixers, so be sure to ask the bartenders if you are not picking a drink from their current theme. Keep in mind these are craft cocktails and they take time, so if you are looking for a quick drink, this may not be the place for you. There is an art about all of it, so take your time, enjoy the vibes and sip your drink. I can’t wait to go back!

I had a fantastic experience at the YNK bar. From the moment I walked in, there was incredibly welcoming upon entry. Benjamin was attentive, making sure everyone at the bar felt taken care of. Their drinks were spot-on, showing a deep knowledge of mixology and the menu. Each drink was crafted with precision and creativity.

We had reservations, but there was no room for us inside and had to sit at tall tables in the hotel lobby. It’s a hotel bar, not a speakeasy and the 3 of us thought the drinks were not great. I was so disappointed in the experience.

I found YNK last minute while looking for a place to hang out for a few hours. The bartender and the cozy atmosphere were very welcoming. Not a place for large crowds but very comfortable. The drink selection was not huge, but it was very good quality and creative mixes using very good ingredients. The food menu was larger than expected and service was fast. I had a salad, but it was not inspired.
