Service was great, the lady taken our order was kind and friendly. Fries were great and the flavor of the hot dogs was awesome. But they were the skinniest dogs ever.there was more bun than anything.

Very unique architecture and I’m a huge fan of the orange stained glass lighting in felt like a very classic or retro experience. You can tell it’s well kept with the original details & quirks that give this place it’s nostalgic charm The big boy type statue at the front defiantly was what caught my partner & my attention The fries were crispy, just my kind of joint

The person who took our order was delightful, and we love the quirkiness of the restaurant. The food was pretty good, and the prices reasonable.
On the other hand, our order took 25 minutes to get ready with only one person in front of us. Floors to and in the bathroom were sticky. And it was hard to talk over the noise from the TV ads and programming.
I would recommend ordering ahead, stopping in to see it, and taking your order to-go.

Such a disappointment. Rubens/Armans was great but when lukes took over they changed to much. The $ went up and the quality went way down. Then you took the hobo down lost a life time customer. Miss you Ruben and family

First and last time eating here. We spent 42 on 2 hot dog meals and an extra “ketchup only” hot dog (took 3 tries to get only ketchup on it) Ordered the Imposter dog, which was mushy, still cold on the inside. This place was absolute garbage.

This spot has new owners. Now called Arnies. New owners increased prices on menu items grouping items into “Value Meals” thinking we wouldn’t notice. I get the same meal each time I come here; Chicago Polish (comes with fries) and a drink. On September 22, 2025 that cost me $7.06 w/tax. I come back September 25, 2025 and that same meal costs me $10.58 w/tax! A $3.52 increase! I don’t see the “value” in that. I may find somewhere else to go in my lunch rotation. A 50% price increase is ridiculous.

This used to be Rubin’s. It had good food at good prices. Now it is an Arnie’s franchise with Arnie’s logos on everything inside the restaurant. The only thing saying Ruben’s is the sign on the building. Half the items on the menu that made this place unique are gone, and the prices have gone up 30-40 percent. If you are trying to keep the nostalgia, you ripped it out when you changed the menu and got rid of the man with the balloons out front.

Girl at the counter very rude when trying to order. Hot dog bun was so hard and stale. I thought it was toasted. My mother and daughter both ordered gyros. Both had extra crispy meat. And thats being nice! Better places in the area stay clear of here. Will be my first and last time!
