East Moon – A Hidden Gem
Had the Thai hot and sour soup and golden tofu—both were absolutely delicious and generously portioned. What I thought would be a light meal turned into dinner and lunch the next day.
The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is charming and the restaurant is impeccably clean. You can tell they take real pride in their food and their space.
Can’t wait to come back and try their sushi bar. If it’s anywhere near as good as what I had tonight, I just found my new favorite spot.
Highly recommend!
Round 2… I had the pad sew with tofu. It was just another great meal

I ordered the Pad see yew with tofu and some green tea. The green tea doesn’t taste like much of anything at all; it’s very weak and there is no green tea taste. The main dish was pretty boring: the tofu was bland and so were the noodles although I liked the egg flavor. Even when adding chili oil it did not help. We are fortunate to have many restaurants in Longmont to choose from, so I probably won’t be back.

We ordered two entrees from the Thai menu and a sushi roll. We took pics AFTER serving ourselves from each plate but the portions were so large you can only tell on the sushi plate that we took any. Had Mongolian beef and I believe the chicken dish was called Yenshun? Spicy garlic sauce on the chicken was actually spicier than the Mongolian beef but both were super tasty and I’m looking forward to leftovers tomorrow at lunch. The sushi roll was really flavorful but I really can’t remember the name. Had flame broiled fish on top and was towards the bottom right hand side of the sushi menu- if you see something down there that sounds similar get it! Will return- some of the best Asian flavors I’ve had in longmont. Friendly service and food came out fast. Prices were really good for portions.
Went back today and made sure we took pics! Only did sushi rolls today. We had the volcano roll (that’s the one we had last time), lava roll, caterpillar roll, and octopus. Excellent dinner! Very pleased with our decision to go back tonight.

I always enjoy visiting this restaurant. Kenny the owner is great. And Beth is such a pleasant person to engage with. Great food at good prices. I’m addicted to the Basil rice with pork spice level 10! Get some!! Great selection of drinks. Sushi is great and menu selection is huge

Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Teriyaki chicken. Teriyaki chicken was good but the Kung Pao Chicken was terrible. I think the chicken is precooked with no seasoning and then tossed with sauce and vegetables when ordered. Reason for the review is I took 2 bites and set the plate off to the side and we split the teriyaki chicken. Waitress didn’t even ask about the food at all. We asked for a small box for the teriyaki chicken and she didn’t say a word about the untouched plate on the table. Never asked how it was. Seems like a busy place but my 2 visits are enough we will not be back.

East Moon has great Asian food in a comfortable, contemporary atmosphere. I love the fried dumplings (pot stickers) and great soups. The entrees are varied with Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, and Vietnamese dishes. There’s also has a Sushi bar where you can watch a skilled chef create your dinner. Dine in or take out — the food here is consistently good.

Best place ever! Support local and eat at this place. Never disappoints. We eat in but you can get takeout or delivery. Always fresh and prepared with care. Nice bar selection, including whiskey & bourbon. Tuesday is all you can eat with huge portions and a great selection. Service is always great and they make you feel at home.

Food was good. They seemed understaffed for a busy night but the servers were moving fast. Food sequencing was off but it all came out eventually and was hot and tasty. I would go back

Terrible service – both servers and management seemed to have forgotten our table of five – we had to track down our waiter multiple times for basic requests. Despite the awful dine-in experience, the food was relatively delicious. Sushi was incredible (in terms of both presentation and flavors/textures), but their egg drop soup is significantly lacking (on the Royal Wok side). Crab cheese wontons were okay, but the oil they used to fry them seemed more than a few days old from the taste of it. Egg rolls were also impacted by the unfortunately disgusting frying oil used, but the contents were superb aside from the slimy texture. You pay a hefty price for the food as well as the service, and I don’t necessarily think you get what you pay for at this establishment.

When I order Pad Thai I expect—and usually get—flavorful noodles in Thai egg sauce with bean sprouts, green onions, peanuts, and whatever protein (chicken and shrimp for example), not just stale tasting noodles with no sauce and some shrimp. Couldn’t even chew the over-fried Vietnamese egg rolls, had to toss them in the trash. Never again
