Over priced for the food you get. They did not have anything gingerbread related inside which was a huge disappointment. This place had apartment been sold to new owners so maybe that’s why it seems lack luster. They have a reminence of the cute gingerbread theme but it’s loosing its cuteness. Just severely underwhelming and not worth the price. We had visited on July 6th 2025.

I really, really prefer to support family-owned businesses, which is why I detoured to come for breakfast after a friend told me about the place. Unfortunately, they only serve breakfast until 11am, so I wasn’t able to order eggs and ended up having a burger and onion rings. The food was veryiddle of the road. Burgers were fine (cooked ok, but way too much sauce; dripping with ketchup and mustard)). Onion rings were fine (cooked from frozen, but decent and crispy; portion was tiny with 8 thin rings for $4.50). The service was super slow (training a new employee, I believe), but they were all very nice. The place is extremely dated and not in very good condition. If it’s on your way and you’re not picky, I’d stop to support them, but I would not make a special trip a second time.

This is a quaint little family diner that I have been stopping at for as far back as I can remember. We used to always stop for ice cream when returning home from a weekend adventure in Oregon’s beautiful mountains. What a pleasure it is to have a childhood favorite still available for my dining and nostalgic pleasures. A lot of things have changed over the years—some for the better, others for the worse—but it is truly comforting to see the Gingerbread House remain the same after all these years.

Tots were good. Burgers ok. I was expecting more from the bison & elk meat. The meat didn’t have much flavor. The beef was basic. Ladies were friendly.

Awe, we had a nice time at Gingerbread House. I had the bison burger and onion rings and she had a taco salad and a Reeces milkshake. It was all good and we enjoyed reminiscing about past times. There are some good historical pictures on the walls to help with the memories. We miss all the animals and monkeys but times have changed and we are glad there is nothing caged anymore.

It was a joy meeting Carol and eating here. You can tell she truly cares about her customers. Our meals were all prepared with love! I had the veggie omelette and it was healthy and delicious. Gently steamed veggies, not greasy or overcooked. My daughter had the burrito and my husband ordered chicken fried steak. All were wonderful. They have a cute area for photos and you can decorate rocks and put them around. Just a wonderful time!

One of the favorite restaurants my fiancé went to as kid with her family, classic mom and pop restaurant vibe and cozy feeling. Food came out fast and was decent, and the waitress was kind. We ordered to go, and I grabbed myself a newspaper for the road.

My husband and I just stopped here for a late lunch. We’ve passed by here many times on the way over the mountains, but never stopped. I had a garden burger, which was “the original garden burger” you don’t see on menus very often anymore (but which taste the best in my opinion). My husband had a 1/3 pound cheeseburger. They were both so delicious! The buns taste like they are homemade and were fresh and soft, and the burgers cooked perfectly. Just like you’d hope classic diner food to be. The fries and chocolate shake were great too. The best part though, was the service. The staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!!

We found this gem during our west-coast trip. The Gingerbread House exceeded our expectations. The jalapeño burger was exceptional. The fries were perfectly crisp. The onion rings were out of this world! Not greasy, perfectly crisp. These are the best onion rings I have ever tried! We topped it off with a gingerbread cake with ice cream! It was absolutely delicious! Also, the choc shake was another hit! Definitely a gem you din’t want to miss out on when in the area. We will definitely be back if we take another trip to Oregon!

Cute little cafe with decent prices and very friendly staff.
Went here for burgers and ice cream on our daughters birthday and they made the kids feel so welcome and even gave her a free cookie to celebrate ❤️
They were working on a remodel And I’m excited to come back.
